Re: Using a long-range extender with R-Pi

Okay so the one I originally linked is "AWUS036H" and under the working wifi adapters page the AWUS036H works. So that eBay package SHOULD connect with the raspberry pi correct? If I am right then I should be able to do this? http://elinux.org/RPI-Wireless-Hotspot THanks for all your help btw :) If...

You will need to bridge the two wireless adaptors, beyond my scope, but it seems that it has been done as several posts on this forum.

Re: Unable to install wolfram

Thanks for all the help. I appreciated. I just wanted to play with Mathematica (I have heard great things about it). Although it will be slower in softfp systems, will it still be useable? Any one knows if there are plans for such a release? Soft Float armel support was dropped quite a while ago, i...

Re: Using a long-range extender with R-Pi

These extenders are just signal boosters, can not see the version of Linux should make a difference, also the one you pointed to is older 54G, and not the faster "N" According to http://www.amazon.co.uk/Alfa-AWUS036H-802-11b-Wireless-network/dp/B002WCEWU8 the WiFi adaptor has Linux drivers. Re: Weather station uplink

Thank you both for your help and responses. I ordered my Raspberry Pi a few days ago, so we'll see how this goes. The current plan is to just install Raspbian and wview, which says it supports Debian Wheezy on armel architecture. If that doesn't work, I may need to get a bit more creative. FYI! wvi...

Re: Cubietruck Allwinner A20 dev board coming in October

With 2 million RasPi and tens of thousands of other boards out in the world, a market segment around ARM, is looking more likely all the time. I thought the ARM market segments were already alive and well in everything from SatNavs to Servers and everything in-between and has been for over 20 years...
