If you had grounds to ban me, which you don't, you'd have done so by now. Having a strong opinion != "trolling". These are my opinions. I may put myself across a little aggressively at times, I am sorry for that.

Re: Rant: Newegg article really cheeses me off.

Occurs to me, that this device has a potential application for me... If it will run Win7, I could use one to store Pi OS image files and run SDFormatter and SDimager to flash Pi SD cards. (I need to go back and check the specs for SATA interface for mass storage.) Why do you need Win7? Just use Win...

Re: Rant: Newegg article really cheeses me off.

To step back a bit, the OP was irritated that the article claimed that the intel board would "revolutionize" (the title of the article being: "Intel just re-invented the computer"). I don't think that anyone can truly argue that intel have invented the concept of a small format board that can easil...

http://blog.newegg.com/ces-2015-intel-just-reinvented-the-computer/#comment-58199 Intel is coming out with its own "Pi" and apparently they are revolutionizing computers. What a crock. Raspberry Pi has been doing exactly this for years... "Years" = not even 3 years yet, and a HUGE chunk of those "y...

I may have come across as critical and a little hasty; sorry everyone. The subject of this thread seems to have become diverted, and swamped with rather overly defensive replies. If the Pi IS as good as it is (and it is pretty good!), it can stand on it's own and no aggressive defensiveness is need...

Re: Windows 10

My aversion is mostly based on how everything is tied into their marketplace thing. It took 2 hours to install skype on windows 8 as a result. I don't see why MS would abandon that approach, so I think I'll stay away from anything after windows 7 until that sort of thing is sorted out. Why wouldn't...

Re: Rant: Newegg article really cheeses me off.

I don't think there's anyone outside the R/Pi hardcore community, who knows of, let alone cares about this arbitrary, artificial barrier of $35. If you're looking at the price of every product you buy, and comparing the price to this engrained expectancy of things having to be $35 or less, you're go...

Is it irony that the one place you can't sell a Pi, AT A CRAZY CHEAP PRICE, is the Raspberry Pi's own founding fan forum - the place where everyone raves and evangelises about them, 24 hours a day.
