Re: OpenVPN Problem

Thank you for your explanation and link ! I got it working with the openVPN DNS servers, if I use mine (10.8.0.1 or 192.168.0.1) it stops working. Need to tinker some more so that I can use mine (though openVPN DNS is probably just fine since all I am looking for is security on unsecured wifi and on...

OpenVPN Problem

I have installed and configured an OpenVPN server with this http://readwrite.com/2014/04/10/raspberry-pi-vpn-tutorial-server-secure-web-browsing/ guide and I have a problem. I can connect to my new VPN with my Android phone, but I don't have an internet connection (I cannot browse, ping machines on ...

Re: Using a powerbank - updated with some results

A warning: I got the Xiaomi power bank a week ago, and tried it on a Pi. I was happy at first because it charges when powering the Pi, the problem is when you stop powering the powerbank - the pi loses power and starts up again - it is not uninterrupted. So the Xiaomi power bank is not suitable UPS ...

Re: Using a powerbank

I have a similar question: I was thinking of buying the Xiaomi Power bank (10000mAh) which has the "pass-through" capability which means it can charge and be charged at the same time. I would plug the powerbank to the electrical socket with a timer set to disabled from 6:00 to 22:00 (or 7,8 - 22:00 ...

I have a question regarding the DHT22 sensor so instead of opening a new topic i will ask here: Are the sensor "boards" like this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-DHT22-Digital-AM2302-Temperature-and-Humidity-Sensor-Module-for-Arduino-/201124429073?hash=item2ed3f33d11:g:Py0AAOSwbqpTsn6M OK, or shoul...

Re: [HOW TO] Use your RPI as a DNS server and speed up yo' n

Already tried it still the same result - nothing in the /etc/resolv.conf. Edit: After reading about DNS i think I pictured it wrong. I thought that the DNS cache should be written in a file so it is read after restart. This isnt the case right ? It is probably normal behaviour that the cache is rese...

The configuration file: # Configuration file for dnsmasq. # # Format is one option per line, legal options are the same # as the long options legal on the command line. See # "/usr/sbin/dnsmasq --help" or "man 8 dnsmasq" for details. # Listen on this specific port instead of the standard DNS port # ...

Re: [HOW TO] Use your RPI as a DNS server and speed up yo' n

I have a problem: The cache only works until I restart the service. I checked the configuration and the resolv.dnsmasq is not present. If i create the file (and change the owner to root) it is always empty, the same is if I use the default resolv.conf. Another question: I tried measuring performance...

I have a question about the memory usage, but instead of opening a new thread I will ask it here: My Pi has 73800 (aprox. 72 MB) free after it is booted up with 240/16 split (256 MB model B). After i run the apt-get update && apt-get upgrade Pi has 26660 (aprox. 25 MB) free. I think that if other ap...

My pi runs at:

Code: Select all

arm_freq=1100
core_freq=500
sdram_freq=500
over_voltage=6
Hynix RAM. Seems stable for 4 days although only the CPU is working at 100% (tring to mine some bitcoins :D).
