Re: error at boot up

This is a MySQL error message. It shouldn't be needed at startup, most likely you installed some script or software recently ? What is your distro ?

Re: How can I find if software is installed?

As DirkS said, also remember that apt-get install :

- asks for a confirmation before doing anything
- installs only if the version is newer
- does not delete your preferences on updates

Re: RPi-Monitor version 2.9 is available

Hi, I didn't know this software so I installed and tried it. Well it's really good, does what it says and displays it beautifully. So thanks and congrats ! Some thoughts after using it : 1- Is the welcome screen really helpful ? 2- The "select to zoom" function in Stats is awesome, you should add a ...

Re: Call for beta testers: FIQ_FSM USB driver rewrite

I still have to dropouts issues (bad FM sound) even in NEXT branch.
I've tried
dwc_otg.fiq_fsm_enable=1 dwc_otg.fiq_fsm_mask=0x7
When I revert to an old NEXT (around April 15th) the issue disappear.

Do you need something to help ?

Thank you

Re: Call for beta testers: FIQ_FSM USB driver rewrite

Just so it's clear the cmdline.txt has to be in default state now ?

I've been using many kernel tweaks before this new driver comes up, it would be nice to have a summary of the recommanded setup now (Turbo mode, etc.)

Re: Call for beta testers: FIQ_FSM USB driver rewrite

Thank you very much for your work, I have noticed huge improvements on a Hifimediy Sabre SE9023 DAC with Pulseaudio streams, especially with the latest version of drivers. (Updating to Pulseaudio 5 may have also improve the whole thing.) Situation before : - Buffer overrun after less than an hour of...

Re: The order that Pi accesses its USB ports

After some intensive tests it appears that the most reliable port on my Pi (model B rev 2) is definitely the bottom one. I have only one device connected, in which I send a lot of data, and sometimes lose it when plugged in the top port, but never on the other one.

Re: Spotify on Pidora

Hi, Spotify only ships Debian packages unfortunately, but you could easily convert it to rpm with Alien. Or you could run the Windows Spotify client via Wine. Or you could run a Mopidy server on your Pi so that you don't need mouse, keyboard, and HDMI. I know it is supposed to come soon to Fedora, b...

Re: rar compressor on Raspbian

Ok my bad in Debian you need to install rar as well

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install rar
and then

Code: Select all

rar a myfile.jpg
Also you don't need the ./ to launch a program installed with apt-get, just type its name.

Re: Use htaccess on apache2

You need to tell your server which file it is allowed to play. Add this in your .htaccess : AddType audio/aac .aac AddType audio/mp4 .mp4 .m4a AddType audio/mpeg .mp1 .mp2 .mp3 .mpg .mpeg AddType audio/ogg .oga .ogg AddType audio/wav .wav AddType audio/webm .webm AddType video/mp4 .mp4 .m4v AddType ...

Re: Audio streaming via bluetooth! HELP PLEASE

Hi, i would recommand Pulseaudio. Assuming you run Raspbian, you need to enable bluetooth (1) and then detect your hardware (2). A graphical audio card chooser for Puseaudio could be useful (3). (1) A way to avoid heavy dependancies : http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=45&t=50834 (2) ...

Hello,

This is theoretically possible if your phone support HDMI In.

However since it is apparently broken you will get nothing from it, your device needs to be fully functionnal.

Hi, Please try to choose a more precise title for your questions ! If you have the original cartridge you can rip them and place them in the (I suppose) .m...

Re: Decibel Audio Player for Raspbian

Hi,

Most of softwares behave the same way on the Pi or any computer running linux. In this case Decibel should be pretty straightforward, light and fast.

Since it is packaged in Raspbian repo you should install it and see for yourself.

Re: Raspbian Shortcuts

Hi,

First make sure your file is executable.

It may not change anything, but try to register your app the UNIX way :

mv ~/myapp/myapp.py /usr/local/bin/myapp

(you don't need to keep the .py extension).

From here you can create a basic launcher on your desktop.

Hello,

If you have X running you can try padevchooser (deprecated but still works) or indicator-paselector which tries to be a replacement.

Edit: this one actually works really great :

Is there a Pulseaudio 4 repo ?

Hi all, I'm using Raspbian and Pulseaudio to share audio from my desktop to the Pi. Unfortunately Debian stable uses Pulseaudio 2 which handle pretty badly network sharing (lag and huge amount of data). Is there any Pulseaudio 4 backport repo out there for the Pi ? Alternatively is there a good Debi...
