Give it a go, I'd do it but really don't have enough time in the next couple of weeks.

I'm willing to beta test any code posted on here.
Can you beta test my driver? Look at my post above...

Has anyone successfully interfaced the build your own weather station to Weewx? Thanks
I have! Look at my post above. It would be awesome if you can test my driver.

Re: weather station software

Hello everyone, I wrote a driver to interface the BYOWS - Raspberry Pi with weeWX, I don't have the hardware but Salinois (the last one to post in here) helped me testing a debugging the code until we got a basic but functional driver. The code is in a github repository: https://github.com/jardiamj/...

Re: driver Weewx for BYOWS

I starting the process of writing the driver for BYOWS yesterday. The first thing I did was to wrap all the functions into a class object to make it easier for me to write the driver. I don't have the hardware for the Station so I tested the rain and speed functions with a couple of push buttons in ...

A mi me pasaba exactamente lo mismo y creanlo o no era el cable hdmi. Eso me pasa por comprar baratijas... Intenta conectarlo con otro cable y nos cuentas. Talvez tu problema es diferente.

Saludos.

The Introduction to Computer Science course (CS101) at udacity.com is a very nice introduction to CS and Python at the same time. Take a look at it: http://www.udacity.com/overview/Course/ ... ev/apr2012

Re: Don't get this part of the code...

First of all, you have a class called Direction that sets the values for Direction.right, Direction.left, etc. that are used all along the program. Then I can see that are two classes that have a "direction" variable: SnakePart and Snake, both get initialize to Direction.right as you can see in the ...

Re: Using RPi.GPIO to drive stepper motors

If you haven't already got one, a soldering iron stand with a sponge is a good buy - the heavier the better. Soak the sponge and squeeze out the surplus water before you start to solder, then before you make a joint, clean the tip of the iron on the damp sponge and tin it as described by MadCow42 ,...

Re: Using RPi.GPIO to drive stepper motors

Awesome! I'm guessing from the picture that your stepper is very low power, because it looks like you're driving it right off of the chip's outputs? For soldering, I use a wet rag to clean off the tip from time to time. Before I solder a piece, I melt a little bit of solder on the tip, then make co...

Nice!! Here is my set up: http://s9.postimage.org/m1jo4z64f/DSCN0786.jpg I already got it working with Python using the RPI.GPIO libary. I also would like to solder it into a more permanent board, but I am really a newbie in these world soldering, I bought a tool kit form SparkFun and have already t...

Re: Physics experiment on motion

You are right Scep, I took them out of an old dot matrix printer. I took everything I thought I could reuse from it, stepper motor, leds, press buttons, capacitors, etc. Somebody was throwing it away, so I asked if I could take some things from it before, the lady looked at me a little surprised and...

Physics experiment on motion

Hi everybody! I'm taking and online class in physics PH100 at udacity.com, they have very interesting and well structured classes, you should check them up. Any way this is not an advertisement for Udacity, so, back to the Raspberry Pi stuff. I had to do and experiment about motion for the class, so...

Re: Python help

You cannot have a single element by itself inside a tuple in python, this is what the docs.python.org says: A special problem is the construction of tuples containing 0 or 1 items: the syntax has some extra quirks to accommodate these. Empty tuples are constructed by an empty pair of parentheses; a ...
