Re: GAMES LIST: Games That Work On The Pi

That seems to have worked! Now I can get to the main menu anyways. The game now crashes whenever I try to load a mission. It can crash if you don't have enough video memory. I had it at 128MB if I remember correctly. I also had problems with crashes when using a cheap PSU that didn't live up to it'...

Re: GAMES LIST: Games That Work On The Pi

Do you know how to get Jedi Academy running on the Pi2? Using the pre-compiled files only lead to a blank screen, and I have to unplug my Pi to get rid of it. You have to run it in X windows or update your SDL file here: http://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?p=707673#p707673 Sadly, I've t...

Re: Jedi Knight?

You need to run it under X. Also OpenAL must be enabled in the config-file before starting the game otherwise it will hang on startup. For Outcast the file is "/home/pi/.jk2/base/jk2config.cfg". If the file does not exist you must create it. Change the line seta s_UseOpenAL "0" to seta s_UseOpenAL "...

Re: Doom 3 on Raspberry Pi 2

I managed to get it to compile and start. http://www.henrike.se/d3/img/tn/Doom3_1.jpg http://www.henrike.se/d3/img/tn/Doom3_2.jpg http://www.henrike.se/d3/img/tn/Doom3_3.jpg http://www.henrike.se/d3/img/tn/Doom3_4.jpg As you can see by my frame rates there is still some work to be done. None of the ...

Re: Jedi Knight?

it is rather annoying noone has made a linex port of jamp.exe even for a normal debian computer and the game doesn't run well under wine in some circumstances. also what did you split between gpu/cpu? Doesn't the builds from http://builds.openjk.org/ work for multiplayer? I have only played it in s...

Re: Jedi Knight?

I can't wait to get my hand on one of the new PI-2. did you disable EAX(?) advanced sound? does multiplayer work? Open-JK? and does it utilize all the CPU cores? I don't think that EAX actually works in Linux. The only effect it should have now is to force openal. With this setting disabled the gam...

Re: Jedi Knight?

I have tried both Academy and Outcast on the Pi 2 now. Outcast runs at about 60 fps most of the time but it sometimes drops down to 20-30 if there are many enemies. Academy runs much slower at 20-30 most of the time. The setting that seems to have the most influence on fps is "Geometric Detail". Som...

Re: Jedi Knight?

No. You don't have to compile it if you don't want to. The files i linked are precompiled but you need those libraries to run it.

Re: Jedi Knight?

You need to install libopenal1 and possibly libxrandr2 and libxxf86vm1.
Doing "sudo apt-get install libxxf86vm-dev libopenal-dev libxrandr-dev cmake" will install all that you need if you want to compile it from source and what you need to run it.

Re: Jedi Knight?

Download http://www.allt2.se/henrik_e/sw/Academy_Compiled.tar.gz or http://www.allt2.se/henrik_e/sw/Outcast_Compiled.tar.gz and extract. Place the Base folder in the new folder that was created (Academy_Compiled or Outcast_Compiled). The executables are called jk2sp for Outcast and jasp for Academy....

Re: Jedi Knight?

Hi There, I followed the instructions on how to compile and CMake came with a warning. It returned: Manually Specified Variables were not used by the project: RASPBERRY I then went ahead and tried the make file anyway and that encountered a couple of compiler errors that halted the process. Any Ide...

Re: Jedi Knight?

:arrow: Bump Any idea if we can run it outside of the desktop? It's easy to remove the X stuff from the graphics initialization but the window is used to get mouse and keyboard events so you would need to change those parts to use SDL or something like that. Another thing that needs changing is the...

Re: Jedi Knight?

I checked my settings and i used gpu_mem=256.
You definitely need to increase it from the default.
I played with some "extreme" overclocking and got pretty decent framerates in Outcast until the Pi crashed and the SD was corrupted.

Re: Jedi Knight?

i got the game running, yes it lags quite a bit. we need to change some of the code so it will run more smoothly. :ugeek: also everything is white i don't know it this is because i didn't copy a file over or it is a shader or texture issue. Can't wait for this to run nicely on the pi! :D How much m...

Re: Extreme Tux Racer

It looks like you need to enable the depth buffer in the config.
Try using g_configAttribs instead of attribute_list in the call to eglChooseConfig or add

Code: Select all

EGL_DEPTH_SIZE, 8,
to attribute_list.

Re: Extreme Tux Racer

Add

Code: Select all

    g_eglDisplay = state->display;
    g_eglContext = state->context;
    g_eglSurface = state->surface;
after init_ogl(state); in winsys.cpp

Re: Jedi Knight?

Code: Select all

tar zxvf JediOutcastLinux-JediOutcastLinux.tar.gz
mkdir outcast_build
cd outcast_build/
cmake -DRASPBERRY=ON ../JediOutcastLinux-JediOutcastLinux
make
You can also put the build folder in JediOutcastLinux-JediOutcastLinux and run

Code: Select all

cmake -DRASPBERRY=ON ..
make

Re: Jedi Knight?

I downloaded the sources for the Pandora ports from https://github.com/ptitSeb/JediOutcastLinux and https://github.com/ptitSeb/JediAcademyLinux and made some changes to make it compile and run on the Pi. I have not made any attempts at optimization and it runs rather slowly. http://www.allt2.se/henr...
