Little late to the party but yeah soon as i boot your version 2.1 I see a ultimate raspbian splash screen then blank screen. I have a 16GB SDcard with a rev.B PI.

Now that's what I want to hear! I have yet to try installing new emulators but ill look up this PicoDrive. do you know if this will work with retrorch's emulation station?

FM81, Thank you very much for the assistance you gave. It looks like i have figured it out. I went back to the original script i was working with but made one change. I set the script to run using the rc.local rather the crontab. I added this line to my rc.local. python /home/pi/shutdown.py --silent...

Yikes... I read through most of the posts and everyone seems to have went off on their own way of doing things and I'm not sure which way is the simplest and/or best.
