Re: FTDI USB Serial Hangs

There is a newer PL2303HX Rev D out btw, hardly any devices use this chi, most use the revision A. This new version works on windows 8 too, maybe you should give it a try: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Prolific-PL-2303-HXD-USB-to-RS-232-Serial-Adaptor-Compatible-with-Windows-8-/290780435776?pt=UK_Comput...

Cortex A15 Dual/Quad 1.2ghz+ Raspberry Pi 2 PLEASE!

Now that raspberry pi is out of the door and just the mass manufacturing of the cases left to happen what specs will the foundation be using for the next rpi? Cortex A15 is the logical choice seeing as though it is much faster than previous versions. I'm sure we'd all love a new version with dual/qu...

the intel still uses alot more power than the arm chips so i can't see intel doing well in phones. Maybe they'll do ok in tablets as they have bigger batteries.

Re: Hardware capable of 4k video decoding?

I know the gpu currently can only do 1080p (1k), but could the gpu firmware be changed to add support for 4k decoding? thats around 4300x2200 ish resolution. Nvidia/ATI can do it with their cards and allwinner a10 arm chip can do it.

Re: Wish we chould use Micro SD instead of SD

I think R-pi guys should have used Micro SD, their reasoning was that micro sd card slots are less robust and the cards are too small and fiddly. But the thing is most people will keep their SD card in their R-pi for the rest of the time they own the device so the size of the card won't matter. As f...

It could also be useful to know how many people are expecting that first 10K.

I'll order one when they come with a plastic case as there's not much point making our own when we can get a case that fits perfectly with it at some point within the next few months.
