Re: Why won't my Pi boot? (No signal on TV)

try redownloading the image. and executing the program you use to install the image as administrator.
maybe if it's possible you can try a different charger and a different SD card.

Re: VNC over serial

i assume you are using a laptop to connect to your pi in these situations. wouldn't it be easier to just use a small ethernet cable. directly between your laptop and pi. and set up static IP's on both or run a simple dhcp server from your laptop to provide the pi with an IP address. this way you can...

I played a bit on Qemu and found it to be extremely slow - but I was using it on a Pentium 166MHz machine with 32MB of RAM ;) To be honest, I was surprised it ran as fast as it did. haha how where you running it ? qemu on windows or did you have linux running directly on the machine ? :p i'm rather...

raspbian virtualisation

hello everyone, i wanted to ask if it is possible to install the raspbian OS in a virtual machine using virtualbox or VMware. i did find a guide on how to do it but it was rather old and looked like a whole lot of work because you had to set up a linux machine in which you had to install some other ...

i assume you just tried rebooting your pi with the LAN cable connected ?
when ever i switch cables between my network here i have to reboot the pi or else it won't get a new IP address.

and no what you are seeing is correct the second version is one for a static IP

i think if you would try and order one and just go through all the steps you will see what you have to pay before you actually pay it including shipping and tax costs.

I don't know what to say... Why would you buy an extra SD card, a USB to UART cable, a battery pack, usb wifi adapter and one of the more expensive wireless keyboard/mouse combos to get started? windows can't read the card except the boot partition. maybe you can use virtualbox or something like that to make a virtual machine running debian or a other linux distribution to copy it of the card and then move it back to your windows machien.

do you use something like citrix or do the people login on the terminal itself ?. if it's the first you would need to look if a linux version of the client side is available. if they login to your domain directly on the wyse terminal. not really even though the pi is a cool device it isn't all that ...
