File system.

I've lost contact with my Roman folder, ls -l shows this >

Code: Select all

drwxrwxr-x 4 dr dr 65536 Oct 28 2014 Paul
drwxrwxr-x 4 dr dr 65536 Oct 28 2014 Ray
d????????? ? ? ? ? ? Roman
drwxrwxr-x 4 dr dr 65536 Oct 28 2014 Rory
Self inflicted I'm sure but is it fixable?

Re: Get your Pi to fight COVID-19

As an alternative and another source of information there is https://foldingathome.org/ installed via a .deb file. I have this running on my server, 64 cores @ 100% usage certainly warms up the room :) I got to hear about it through a well known youTuber > https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KU4qOebhkfs...

Ideally, I'm trying to travel light.
Where does your Windows programe run at the momnet? What kind of travel are you planning?

Could you travel with your RPi and VNC back to a Windows machine?

What is the application you want to run, is there a Linux alternative?

It looks like you also missed the first reply ''you don't need the sudo command in the line'' So first off if you want to run a command in cron as root then use sudo crontab -e that way you are running the command as root and you don't need the sudo command in the line. second how do you know its no...

Re: Remote SSH connection

Inside your net you will ssh to an IP something like 192.168.1.12 but from the internet you would have to use the IP given to your router by your ISP, it will not be a 192.168.x.x IP it will be more like 23.201.16.56 Go to https://www.whatismyip.com/ to find the external IP of your router. I would s...

Re: Screen Application

It's not well documented but you could put the following in .screenrc zombie kr Then when you re-attach to the screen you will be asked if you wish to kill the window by pressing 'k' or restart the process that failed by pressing 'r' This looks promising.
