Re: Older games playable?

The Archimedes Public Domain Library formerly owned and maintained by Dave Holden, is once again available on line courtesy of his estate and friends.... http://www.apdl.org.uk/apdlpd/library/library.htm Many, if not all of the items have already been upgraded to 32-bit compatible. Not just games Re...

Re: raspberry pi's croak after a while?

Well I don't think its the SD card readers as I've probably inserted & removed SD cards less than 10 times for each RPi in the 1 year I've owned them. Phil: Well in that case, its worth trying a few repeated insertions of the cards to 'wipe' the contacts, and then try again. It costs nothing to try...

Not really, since I 'raised the issue' for discussion purposes, rather than reporting a fault. Isn't that what a Forum is for??? :)

Noobs Options?: Include Licence Key Entry in Noobs/Config?

Would it be a useful idea to add the licence key entry / line editing as an option in the Config program ?.... So that; a user can clearly see what licences are enabled in their Pi (or just those which match that particular Pi ?) So that Licences can be added easily - but not deleted - [although thi...

Multiple Licences for Multiple Pi's?...

Greetings I havn't yet ordered any licences for my Pi's; or I'd probably have discovered the answer to this by now 8-) (But searching the forum on codec licence revealed no related question and answer) I plan, partly for convenience and interchangeability, to order the same licences for each of my P...

Re: RISC OS on Raspberry Pi

If you use the VIdeo Out mode (ie no HDMI cable connected) when starting up the RISCOS image (I'm using the on from about a week ago, with Netsurf etc) then you get a rescaled version of the 1080 screen - and its 480i in NTSC (3.58MHz subcarrier) In !Edit <Menu> >> Display will allow a larger font s...

Re: RS Delivery Sequence?

Last night I received the email from Parcel Force - pre-warning of my delivery (sent before it was collected) According to tracking which became available this morning, it arrived at my local Aldershot Depot and was loaded on the delivery van about 02.30. It reached here about 11.00 - was duly signe...

Re: Anyone in the US get a ship date from Newark (Element/14

Hmm ... I ordered March 12th. Initial email said it would ship in May. Then followup email in April said the end of June. It's June 25th and I have yet to receive any further communication on my order. I expect to be disappointed. It would seem being among the first to order makes no different as t...

Have those who are complaining so vociferously about shippping fees and the regreable addons charged at the far end - about which I tend to agree - but CAVEAT EMPTOR - it applies to all of us according to the laws and practices of the county we live in: CONSIDER THE INCREASED processing and shipping...

CPC orderers - despatching today..! 8-)

Some of those of us who have ordered via CPC may want to make sure they are contactable via their contact info [phone] - if they, like me, needed to supply updated Card details (my old card having expired in April). Mine is now being despatched today 8-)

[conjecture on my part:] Perhaps not just a correction of the delivery schedule for those of us overlooked CPC customers, but also the QT400 who were supposed to have been supplied from the original 2000 .... but who had presumably got postponed from the Foundation's schedule due to the lack of avai...

Lucky you guys... I ordered mid-March from Element14 and still haven't received anything... In the case of RS orders, though, the phrase 'ordered' is in response to the Invitation to Order. The Farnell/E14 'order' is time-wise equivalent to the 'Expression of Interest' allowed at RS As a guide, my ...
