Re: Photovoltaic/solar systems monitoring

Salut calou33 For me, data is read directly from the cat5 cable outgoing from Mate3 ('http://192.168.0.64/Dev_status.cgi?&Port=0') in a python script Don't know WKS and its possibilities. wattuneed.com should be able to give you some info. On the drawing p.5 of the french manual there seems to be so...

Hi Calou33! I am completely offgrid (Power and Phone)n under OutbackPower FP1-34 (inverter-charger, Charge controler, Battery manager, and MATE3 settings and data manager. My monitoring system works with Raspberrypi3 (Raspi for short) with the following layout: [b]Mate3 -> cat5 cable -> Router-modem...

Re: Photovoltaic/solar systems monitoring

Hi anyone, It seems my post is so specific that no one can or will answer. :-( To go a little further, I bought (Oh my $$!) an AXS port from Outback Power, and hope it will behave! It comes pretty bare with no tip of what to ask from it to get some data (not too much please) Any one has some experie...

Re: How to stop a running python script without terminal

Simple as it is to stop Raspberry Pi as well which is what I want:
at the end of the script just write:

Code: Select all

import os
	os.system('sudo shutdown now')
Thanks for your answers,

Nearly the same question: When I am away from my mountain I try to monitor my Photo-voltaic system with a Raspberry Pi and a Python script to read data from the PV manager and send it to my web page. That system is lit up for 15 minutes each hour. Works pretty well if it was not for some problems in...

Re: How to change keyboard language layout?

I am in France with a french Keyboard (AZERTY) or FR-fr. I do remember most of the places of the Britain-English layout, but I would very much prefer a french layout. So I tried: - sudo raspiconfig, changed locale to fr-FR.UTF8 UTF8, acknowledge all and sudo reboot: result QUERTY still there; - sudo...

Hello everybody!
All setups are correct:
- "wpa_supplicant.conf" with WPA2,
- "if config" says inet adr 169.254.166.192 but the address of my box is 192.168.1.254

WiFi

Bonsoir,
Je cherche à faire communiquer mon Raspberry Pi 3 par Wi pour éviter la dégradation des signaux sur de trop longs câbles.
Les dongle USB classiques ne fonctionnent que sous Windows ou Apple.

Quel matériel choisir?

Well I finally got it!

Though I was born MS DOS with floppies and all that,
it seems that I forgot the discipline of line commands and missed / before usr
Now it is working straight away without even putting the address of python interpreter before the name of the script.

Thanks Dougie

Re: Raspi and Piface

Thanks Scotty,
So I shall go wit Raspi3.
For my router-modem-3G it takes 1Amp under 12V (12W) which is fine for a 20V 5A maximum.
So it is clear, another green/yellow back off!

Bye
Lionel
