Thanks for replying. The power supply is 5.25V and 1A . The hub is the only thing plugged into the usb ports of the pi. It delivers 5V and 2A. The keyboard is the only thing plugged into it. The red light stays on and the green light flickers when it is booting up. I also plug everything into the pi...

There's a linux version of xampp.  You can run it off a usb drive.  Could you use it as a development only server?
