Blue, Red, Green, they are all annoying if they light up your room when your trying to sleep. :x I'd love to see Windows 10 Mobile ported to the Pi. I'd still be running Raspbian and OPENELEC on some of my Pi's. But another OS to play with won't hurt. Especially when you can swap your OS just by sw...

Not exactly hitting our heads against walls, as the effort needed with the anholt driver is nil(the problem is getting *that* driver ready now) Or in plain English, "It still doesn't work". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bh1of_buc1w&feature=youtu.be https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nYzuKtp2Umo&feat...

Re: Running Android Apps (.apk) on RPi?

If you want to run an *.apk then sell your RPi and use the money you make from the sale to buy a tablet or phone or phablet. You can't run Android or chromeOS on a RPi they are not supported except by a few folks who like hitting their heads against walls. The experimental versions may boot OK, but...

Re: usb boot on pi3

The bootrom on Pi3 supports USB mass-storage class booting as well as tftp/PXE boot. What isn't in place yet is a bootcode.bin that understands it's been loaded from a USB device (and therefore should go look for a USB device/listen on tftp for start.elf). I've hooked up Pi3 to Ethernet and power u...

Re: Access to Windows store?

Hello together, I have a short question concerning Windows 10 IoT running on a raspberry pi 3. Do you have the possibility to access the Windows Store or is this only possible with the "normal" Windows 10? I want to download the Fitbit Connect App which is running on Windows 10. Thanks in advance. ...

Thanks for the replies. To clarify, I meant the Windows 10, like the one that runs on your laptop, not the IOT version. Kratos Windows 8.1 was compiled for ARM desktops, Win10 is also compiled, but it isn't public(ask for the CoreARM SKU, but I don't know which one at MS cares about that) Win 8/8.1...

Just read about Linux capability in Windows 10? So do you think then that python code will run? Will python be included I wonder? LXCore works on ARM since forever. It was designed for ARM first AFAIK. LXCore was the base of Project Astoria, that Ubuntu stuff is using an Ubuntu rootfs instead of An...

Re: Windows 10 ?

Python already runs on Windows (idk about IOT), why would you want to run "Python compiled for Linux" on Windows ? I compiled Python 3.5 for Windows on ARM(desktop, Mobile and IoT SKUs all work, from 8 to 10). I can share my build. Note that FFI doesn't work, but that doesn't matter if you use pure...

There is Secure Boot on the VC4 part :)
