Steam fallout 1

Is it possible to attempt to play fallout 1 from steam on an x86 emulator like rpix86? I would like to know whether the steam release contains the original game files. If tey do I could use a guide ( the link at the bottom ) to run it. Thanks! Link: http://www.abandonia.com/vbullet/showthread.php?t=...

Re: VNC sound

I have a new idea. Could I possible plug headphones into the audio jack of the pi, while it is headless? I plan to use it with a mobile battery pack so it wouldn't be that bad. If this works I think it would be the best and simplest options. Unfortionally I don't have access to a working pair right ...

Re: VNC sound

A big trend I am seeing in audio streaming from the raspberry pi is that it is often used for streaming specific files and not just the entire thing going through Wikipedia the page on xrdp didn't look all that helpful it looked mostly like a change log. Do you think I should set up an xrdp server o...

Re: VNC sound

I googled xrdp pulseaudio sink and it seems to be for another vnc-esque program. Would it translate over to vnc?

Re: VNC sound

I assume you mean to stream audio from the raspberry pi to the device ( I use ios by the way ) which sounds like a good idea, but when I did some digging I couldn't find anything that really sounded like it would work ( I'm new so it might just be I don't understand it ) if you know of anyways to st...

VNC sound

Is there anyway to get sound over vnc? I'd really like to use my ipad to play games on the pi but it would be preferable if they had sound.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Vnc dos emulation

It's not just the game, it's the entire desktop. I'm about to try it again to see if the slowness was just a one time thing. I'll post back soon. Until then, bye!

Re: Vnc dos emulation

I've already tried x11vnc I was wondering if regular x11 might be faster. If you can provide any insight on that that would be awesome. Thanks!

Re: Vnc dos emulation

Update: I found this app called issh which would let me connect to x11 but I don't know how to,setup x11 on the raspberry pi. Cam anyone help me? If possible I would also like it to start at boot.

Re: Vnc dos emulation

It's not overclocked. I think the reason x11vnc is slow is just a quirk of the server.

Re: Vnc dos emulation

It's not just wasteland it's the entire rpix86 even the terminal is all strange it seems to work via x11vnc but as I have stated the entire raspberry pi runs incredibly slow on it. I also tried it (x11vnc) over an ad-hoc network to see if it was just internet traffic, but it didn't seem to matter.

Re: Vnc dos emulation

Again, sorry if I wasn't clear it is not the file it is the whole thing. As in it takes time to even use the terminal.

It's not the file itself that runs slowly, it's the entire thing, sorry I wasn't clear.

Re: Vnc dos emulation

So I tried x11vnc ( sudo apt-get install x11vnc ) which functions like x11 but over vnc and that made the files work fine but the the speed tanked. So I'm open to new things and if anyone has any suggestions on optimizing the speed that would be wonderful. Thank you!

Re: Vnc dos emulation

It's not really about the speed. It's more about the problems translating over. I might try the x11 but you said it shows x, can I run rpix86 via x11 and if I can, how. I am running 7.1.1

Re: Vnc dos emulation

I am using it on ios. I have a vnc setup that allows me to use it offline. Isn't Ming just x11, another vnc server, would it really make the difference. I kind of figured it was something with the client. Also keep in mind I am using ios.

Hi, I am trying to play dos games via rpix86 over vnc. My vnc server is on tightvncserver and my client is vnc viewer on ios.
