Re: Xibo player (work) on raspberrypi

I was able to get my own player to work for seamless multi-video loops using gstreamer (PyGST) on the Raspberry Pi. I don't know whether anyone is interested in porting the entire Xibo player to gstreamer but it works incredibly well. The hello_pi code only decodes h264 transport streams, not MP4/wh...

Re: seamless looping

Hi there, I built an electronic ad/menu system using an RPi. There is no sound/audio though as it isn't a requirement for my clients. -automatic turn on at boot (solved) -seamless loop of one video (solved) -seamless connection from one video to another in a playlist, and looping of the playlist (so...

Re: IS4C ... anyone trying to run a POS on a raspberry Pi?

Raspberry Pi runs a number of recent-ish browsers. If your towers work using something like Firefox or a Webkit browser (Chrome, Safari, Konqueror), your RPi should work too. The software seems to be a local webserver connecting to a central webserver, you can probably run the entire operation on RP...

Re: Can anyone recommend a small database?

I would recommend SQLite, BDB is Oracle-based so you may or may not be able to use it in the near future. SQLite is supported on all platforms currently in existence even JavaScript.

Re: tvservice -s outputs and states

Similar to yours except that when I use tvservice -p the image comes back. I am playing back video content the entire time (using a custom player) and using SSH to connect to the Pi and query the tvservice. Funnily tvservice -o does not put the system in standby, it just blanks the display. To actua...

tvservice -s outputs and states

Hi, I was wondering whether there was any documentation or source code surrounding the tvservice (HDMI status) utility. I am attempting to decode the states that it returns when the TV is off, standby, on, ... I have tested on 2 TV's so far and get a number of codes: 0x40001 Not initialized and HDMI...
