Re: HDMI to VGA? Or RCA to VGA?

You don't need a HDMI to VGA cable you need a HDMI to VGA converter like: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B007KEIRNG/ref=s9_simh_gw_p23_d1_i2?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE (video only) or http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1080P-PC-HDMI-to-VGA-3-5mm-Audio-HD-Video-Converter-HDTV-SKY-DVD-PS3-Apple-TV-/3209298839...

Re: Just got delivery from Farnell's new batch

Mine has arrived too. 24.05.12; from Farnell. Couldn't resist plugging it in powered by my Blackberry Storm charger - is it now a blackberry PI? Power light came on OK - a good sign I would say. Now I need to put my debian image on the SD card I've had for a couple of weeks awaiting arrival of my Pi...

<t>Mines 165481XX 03/03 so could be a bit of a wait! Mind you my order on my account at Farnell (UK) does say processing... which could probably mean anything, really. Still, I've waited this long so a little longer wont matter really. Anyhow, I'm not stressing. It will be here when it gets here.<br...

@antiloquax

Yep, I've got all those and along with the python documentation, pretty much all you need, particularly as a beginner, is contained in these.

<t>@SN<br/> <br/> Interesting post and as we know the education version is envisioned to come with power supply, case and SD at least, so it is not likely to be the £30 most of us in the UK are paying - somewhat more I'd be inclined to say knowing the slim margins on the RaspPi.<br/> <br/> So manufa...

W/C 14/05/12. Well that's moved from the original 03/04

Still, around my birthday so not too bad. Gives me time to sort all the other things I need.

Just checked my order with Farnell, still £24.55 + £4.91 VAT so total not changed £29.46. #This for order placed in UK 03/03/12.

Not sure what's going on if the OP is in UK.

Just me jumping in the water before looking. I was just acknowledging I had signed the petition. The recent post  by LeeP regarding the special Customs relief known as Processing under Customs Control seems a more profitable avenue for R Pi to persue.
