Using interrupts to read encoder signal

Hello I'm connecting a motor with encoder and I want to use interrupts to read the pulses I'm using the interrupts as in this example http://raspi.tv/2013/how-to-use-interrupts-with-python-on-the-raspberry-pi-and-rpi-gpio-part-3 but it is not fast enough to read the pulses generated from the encoder...

Re: Interrupt handling

If you want examples, demos, then see: https://projects.drogon.net/raspberry-pi/wiringpi/functions/ scroll down to interrupts, then get the wiringPi code and have a look at the wfi.c code in the examples directory -Gordon Hey Gordon, thanks a lot for the great explanation and website I was looking ...

TCP/IP and UDP communication

Hi my teacher asked me to build 2 projects, one of them uses TCP/IP communication with the pi and the other one uses UDP communication with pi the problem is I read so much about these communication but I still do not understand real examples if someone can give me some basic examples "or tutorials"...

Re: interacting with 9dof

This code shows one way of talking to the ADXL345 and ITG3200 using C. I'm afraid it's buried within other code. If you don't understand C it would be helpful if you suggest a programming language you would prefer. http://abyz.co.uk/rpi/misc/balancer_v0.c thanks, I prefer using python since I know ...

Try

i2cdetect -y 0

and

i2cdetect -y 1

One of them should show three devices connected to the bus (a different number for each of the sensors on the IMU).
yes I did and it shows what you said so it is connected right

I tried

Code: Select all

ls -l /dev/i2c*
which listed some output

but I could not find anything on dealing with 9dof using pi/python

Re: Cannot get ip address on raspberry pi

Is your RPi connected to your local LAN? or the Internet? Start with this: `ip route` `ping -c 4 google.com` ip route should show something like this: [email protected] ~ $ ip route default via 192.168.x.y dev wlan0 192.168.x.0/24 dev wlan0 proto kernel scope link src 192.168.x.y [email protected] ~ $ ping -c 4 google.com...

You don't appear to have that working. ok so I'm connected using an Ethernet cable when I do ifconfig it give me an ip address but when I try to ssh using my pc to the pi using that address it displays ssh: connect to host 127.0.1.1 port 22: Operation timed out how can I know wha...
