Re: OMXplayer has no audio - tried absolutely everything

Not sure if you ever resolved this, but I was just having the same issue with omxplayer.
I eventually figured out that I could get it to output sound with:

omxplayer -o hdmi [FILE]

Re: Connect RPI from external IP (not local)

I'm new to all this. Is there somebody who can tell me how i realise this? p.s. there is no option to connect from another location thru a standard open port (like 80) (NOT LOCAL!) Hi, It all depends on exactly how your network is configured, which you haven't told us about... Every network will be...

OpenELEC and XBMC video configuration

Hi, I did post this in the Test Build thread, but there's probably a bit too much "noise" there... So... Can anyone explain to me how the various video configuration settings are supposed to work with OpenELEC and XBMC ? Out of the box (ie no config.txt) XBMC decides to use DMA hdmi_mode=39 1360x768...

Re: OpenELEC Testbuilds

Hi, Can anyone explain to me how the various video configuration settings are supposed to work with OpenELEC and XBMC ? Out of the box (ie no config.txt) XBMC decides to use DMA hdmi_mode=39 1360x768 60Hz whereas the screen is capable of doing 1080i. Forcing things to CEA hdmi_mode=5 1080i 60Hz disp...

Hi,

There's a good explanation of what RS are up to in the comment from [email protected] here:

Re: Don't have a Farnell account yet preordered a Pi so how do I know what's happening?

Hi Elliot,

There's probably not much point asking here, as only Farnell will be able to answer your query.

From what I recall of the pre-order process, I thought you had to create an account, but I could be wrong...

I don't think it is a production model as it has a GPIO header attached.

The first batch of production boards do have the GPIO header attached.  It was left on the Bill of Materials so the factory put them in.
