Re: RaspberryPi Camera Board

DeviceRead["RaspiCam"] uses raspistill with -t 0 (which used to work in earlier versions of raspistill). This will be addressed in the next update for the Wolfram Language for Raspberry Pi. There is also an immediate patch available from this Wolfram Community post: http://community.wolfram.com/grou...

Re: No more memory available

AstronomicalData[] (with no semi-colon) will download and try to print out about 156,770 names of astronomical objects. AstronomicalData[]; (with a semi-colon) will download and cache the data (off-line) locally on your Raspberry Pi. I would not expect "AstronomicalData[]" to work (I did not try it)...

Re: No plots

Steve, After you install the 'wolfram-engine' package with apt-get, there are two commands that launch an interface to the Wolfram Language: wolfram -- which launches a simple text only interface in your shell. mathematica -- which launches a desktop application interface. The text interface launche...

Re: Exporting graphics on a headless Pi

I have been using tightvncserver to have the graphics rendered. The first time around it is a bit pokey, but subsequent graphics exports are better (usually about 1s or so): [email protected] ~ $ tightvncserver :42 New 'X' desktop is raspberry-wri2:42 Starting applications specified in /home/pi/.vnc...

Re: Mathematica on Raspberry Pi

I was wondering if it's possible to put Mathematica on Raspberry Pi. Is it compatible? And if it is, will it be able to handle the heat? Thanks in advance! We are working on a project related to Raspberry Pi at Wolfram Research. If you are interested in becoming a prerelease tester for this project...
