Re: Mechanically weakest components of the Raspberry Pi electronics

Out of the dozens of PI purchased since the first version, the only problems I've experienced are the camera connectors because most of my uses require the presence of a camera. Moreover, if by misfortune the camera is unplugged while the PI is in operation, there is a strong chance that the camera ...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

I based it on your code. That's the fun part. Thank you for the push that got me here!

Found it with

Code: Select all

annotate.write ('Obj = {}'.format (sensor.get_obj_temp()))
Have a good day, ras07 !

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Thank you for your answer ras07. The purpose of the project is not to capture videos but simply to monitor the henhouse. During the day, the image is saturated and at night, despite an infrared lamp, the image is too dark. So ISO must be low by day and high by night. Unless there is another way, suc...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface ANNOTATE 3 SOLVED

After countless tests, I was finally able to print the temperature from an 18B20 on the monitor screen, with ANNOTATE function. But, the device id, 28-xxxxxxxxxxxxx also appears. How could it be possible to get only the temperature displayed? Here is the code I'm trying now: #!/usr/bin/env python im...

This is an example of using a switch to stop a motor when the switch state changes. import RPi.GPIO as gpio import time gpio.setmode(gpio.BCM) gpio.setup(17, gpio.OUT) gpio.setup(22, gpio.OUT) gpio.setup(21, gpio.IN, pull_up_down=GPIO.PUD_UP) seconds = 10 print "reverse" gpio.output(17, False) gpio...

Re: Limit Switch

it would be very convenient to add a limit switch to stop the motor (which runs for 10 seconds) when the door reaches the threshold. I don't know which gpio to plug it into Recent models of RPi board have 26 gpio pins available on the 40 way header on the board. Two are used by your existing code. ...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface ... button to control a motor

Hello... I know how to add buttons and edit the userbuttons file. Now, by clicking on a button, I would like to operate a DC motor with an L293. Don't mind about wiring. How do I configure those buttons to do this? A path to a solution would help me a lot. https://i54.servimg.com/u/f54/19/47/02/18/...

Re: Portable Power Bank for Raspberry Pi 3

I have been using power bank for a few years in monitoring devices without any problem related to the SD card. But I was probably lucky.... This is what I use, now: https://lifepo4wered.com/lifepo4wered-pi+.html with 2 batteries... or more if needed. No more stops that could cause an SD failure.

I can't provide you with solutions, but I must say that you have a very interesting system. I have 6 cameras installed under the roofs of various nesting boxes and the software is Rpi Cam Web https://elinux.org/RPi-Cam-Web-Interface . There is no recording directly on Youtube but rather a manual sel...
