Re: Cheap/Novelty casing for Media Server

Morning,

Any thoughts or suggestions on this?

Are most people simply using a cheap lunch box? Anyone used an acrylic display case?

Many Thanks.

Cheap/Novelty casing for Media Server

Hello All, I have a working Raspberry Pi using UPnP/DLNA with a connected USB PCM2704 sound card. I am very happy with the audio quality and the flexibility of controlling it from my Android phone via Bubble UPnP. Has anyone come up with a cheap or interesting housing for the circuit boards? So far ...

Re: Understanding Audio Output Options

Thanks for the replies so far.

I basically wanted to build a cheap media streaming solution. I already have the Pi, Speakers & recently got one of the recommended nano USB dongles for a fiver.

The 3.5mm jack on the Pi is 11 bit sound correct?

Is the PCM2704 sound card 16 bit?

Wireless Dongle

Hello, I am currently using the Ethernet port on the Pi but wanted to purchase a cheap nano wireless dongle. I came across the below but just wanted to see if anyone else has used this dongle as I would hate to purchase it and then have problems. http://www.maplin.co.uk/tp-link-n150-nano-usb-network...

Understanding Audio Output Options

Hello All, I have had the Pi for a while now but never really got any further than using XBMC on it. I dusted it off last week and managed to setup a media server with streaming via UPnP. I have some PC speakers connected to the 3.5mm jack and I am using my Android handset to play music stored on th...
