Making an OS

Before I begin, I'd like to point out I didn't know anywhere else to put this, so I'm sorry if I put it in the wrong area, feel free to move it. I've been looking for a few years now to see how to make a bootable OS. I will use anything I can other than SlackLinux or OpenSuse, I don't like them. If ...

Re: Fastest Pi OS

RISC OS is in my experience the fastest OS for the Pi. Its the least useful and its showing its age (Its a refugee from the nineties). But its pretty slick, but not really much use beyond an historical curio IMO. Is there any support for a Wireless card in it? Because I love the look, I just NEED i...

If you have another card, and a card reader, I can show you alternate install method
What would some of the alternatives be, I could try using the card in my mom's laptop.

Re: Fastest Pi OS

I've been meaning to try out Arch Linux as it is, I'd be very interested in installing it on my pi. Would you be able to point me to a thread explaining how to install LXDE and perhaps some wireless drivers for the Raspberry Pi? (I DO have a Wireless card, if details are needed, I can provide them.)

Re: No Sound or Internet.

Regarding the lack of internet, have you configured Wi-Fi with your network name and security key? (And did you buy a 'ready to go' SD card or a blank one which you flashed with Raspbian Wheezy yourself?) I don't know how to find my network, it is not showing up in the network manager. I got a blan...
