Re: uv4l accept/decline calls on Raspberry

The project requires the user on the Raspberry end to be able to accept or decline a call and I was wondering if there is a way to do this. I have looked around in the uv4l config file and can't say I have found a setting related to this (which is not to say isn't there, I might have missed it). I'...

Re: Playing RetroPie in a browser

Here is another demo. A game (Super Mario) being played from an Android smartphone (in Chrome, no plugin required) with a wireless gamepad controller connected to the smartphone itself, while the RetroPie game runs on an headless Raspberry Pi (with no display, no speakers, no controller attached). h...

Re: WebRTC peer without a browser

IMHO all these UV4L projects are WebRTC streamer only, exposing a signalling server interface via HTML. This requires the PI to be publicly available on the Internet, which is mostly not possible. It would be good to nothing if this were true. UV4L supports STUN/TURN servers for NAT traversal when ...

Re: Adding Audio to UV4L Video Stream

I'm playing the audio in the raspberry (not from usb) and trying to listen to that audio from different machine using browser. Right? Why do I have both installed? I just followed the instructions here: https://www.linux-projects.org/uv4l/installation/ my best advice is that you restart from scratc...

I did as the tutorial suggested, https://www.linux-projects.org/home/wp- ... sound.conf. I can hear the audio on the Raspberry (I have speakers for testing purposes attached to it) but cannot hear any audio from the Chrome (Raspberry/WebRTC is accessible in the address http://192.168.1.4:9080/strea...

I have done all the recommended settings except to buy a secured (HTTPS) licence.
there is no such thing as "HTTPS license to buy". Just enable HTTPS according to the doc, if you want/need it.

Re: UV4L with audio only and multiple clients

Were you able to get this to work? I set up the webrtc audio sharing but could only connect one client at a time. You need Janus as a gateway (it can be installed on the same Rpi). There is a paragraph somewhere in the linked page mentioned before showing how to broadcast to a Janus videoroom and t...

Re: Low Latency Audio over Internet

Thanks ! Will give it a try for sure ! I'm a little concerned since it's video based, and I've read that disabling video is not possible. It could inject unwanted delay in transmission ... but, hey, can't see until I try ! A video driver like the uv4l-dummy driver has to be specified but does not h...

Re: NEW: webapp for Screen + Speakers + keyboard sharing in the browser (no plugin required)

Heard the exact statement from Novell, Microsoft, VMWare and Citrix over the years and in all cases ended up having to use ‘normal’ tools to do some jobs. In all cases, the change in browser technology catches them out - was once stuck with a web based app that would only run on Windows 2000 due to...

Playing RetroPie in a browser

Hi guys, I am curious if you can play RetroPie games in a browser + keyboard with this:

because of the very little latency involved (e.g. <~200ms}

Over internet? UV4L + Janus can do the job:
rpi1 <--> Janus Geteway <-->rp2
with imperceptible latency.

Re: NEW: webapp for Screen + Speakers + keyboard sharing in the browser (no plugin required)

Neat and clever but with VNC and SSH I’m struggling to see why I would need this... VNC + SSH is the past, now that everything tends to be done in the browser with standard web technologies. This example is a step in this direction and part of a bigger picture where you can just use the browser to ...

NEW: webapp for Screen + Speakers + keyboard sharing in the browser (no plugin required)

From a recent tutorial at: https://www.linux-projects.org/uv4l/tutorials/rpi-webapp-screen-audio-keyboard-sharing/ Here is an example of how to configure the Raspberry Pi to serve a web app which allows the Raspberry Pi to share its screen and speakers (“what you hear”) to the PC browser. Additional...
