Sorry my post perhaps should have been clearer.

I use a pi near a TV socket as a server - then clients just need to connect to the local network to access the IP TV streams

Thanks Paeryn Still encountering issues have: checked the config file again - the /media/pi/samsung_4tb/tv is correct and I can paste it into the file explorer I've editing fstab and checked the entry, all seems fine (rebooted) I've followed the advice here: https://everbit.wordpress.com/2013/04/01/...

same thing happened with mine, despite being extremely careful I broke one side of the black connector when installing the cable. I've managed to re-use the black wedge as it was just the corner that broke off and will hot glue over the top to hold the cable.

ecotec, ...I find the app [tapatalk] great to keep track of forums on my commute,... What problem does this solve? I check the rapsi forum and others on my commute with no problem already. I certainly don't need: "Tapatalk can provide advertising that seamlessly integrates into the user experience....

Interesting points raised here, if I can add one extra item. I know the "forum" is strongly adverse to tapatalk, but I find the app great to keep track of forums on my commute, syncing over both phones and tablets. I suspect if the forum supported tapatalk it would continue to build the community.

Thanks mi7chy, I've been working on this and have been using solid explorer for android to set-up an ftp server to transfer the files via filezilla on ubuntu.
