Beta boards

Wondering if any of the original 10 beta boards auctioned in 2012 (excluding the one donated to the Computer Museum) are likely to be auctioned again. If so, how much do you think they would go for now, given the Raspberry Pi's magnificant success. Back then they were unknown but now they're owned b...

Re: First Model As up for auction!

I won thye first of the charity auctions for a Model A Raspberry Pi with the proceeds going to CLIC Sargent: Caring for Children with Cancer. The items included in the auction were: 1 Model A Raspberry Pi computer 1 T-Shirt 1 Pi Plate (a prototyping board) 1 signed copy of the Raspberry Pi User Guid...

Re: USB Keyboard with Model A Raspi

I used the latest Raspbian “wheezy” to create the new image for the Model A. The Debian image I was using with the Model B is quite old now.

Re: USB Keyboard with Model A Raspi

PROBLEM SOLVED

It would seem that you can't simply take the SD used on a Raspberry Pi B Model and plug it into a Model A. The keyboard now works after creating a new image on a new SD card.

The power supply I'm using has a DC output of 5V 1000mA +/- 5%

USB Keyboard with Model A Raspi (solved)

Hi, I'm trying to use my Model A Raspberry Pi but I can't log in using my USB keyboard, which is only a small one, which works fine with my Model B Raspberry Pi. I'm using the same Debian SD card in both Pis. I do see a message during booting up saying 'Unable to enumerate USB device on port 1' whch...

I hope the remaining ten raise as much for their charities as the first two did (£431 and £300 respectively) :)

165524XX 03/03. So a bit of a wait for me too. Still it's great that Raspis are finally 'out there' in the real world.

It won't be open to all comers, but we will be doing a sweepstake for some tens of tickets for forum members, so if you're in the UK you're in with a chance.

Would the beta-board winners be invited?

Re: Issues with Fedora Mix distro - Element 14 have withdrawn download from site

<t>Hi,<br/> <br/> I tried it on my Beta board and found it quite slow (but that could have partially due to the SD card I used). I had to put onto the card twice as the first attempt wouldn't accept my attempts to set up the user names and passwords. The second attempt only went into the graphical i...

Re: Audio via HDMI

It is the demo ilplayer that I'm using. The picture's fine. But I don't seem to get any sound from the audio jack either. Also I've tried playing the track that comes with the lxplayer (by the artist 'Silence') but that doesn't play.

<t>I've now tried the Ras-pi on my Dell monitor using the HDMI and the monitor is reporting a unsupported audio format. It is saying I should set the audio output to Pulse-Code Modulation (PCM). Is there any way for changing the audio format on the HDMI output? This is probably the reason I'm not ge...

Thanks for the information. Just one more question: can this method be used to transfer an image onto a larger SD card?

Re: Backing up SD card

Hi,

If I have a bootable Linux SD card for the Raspi and I want to backup it up, is it simply a case of copying all the files from that SD card to another? Is it necessary to format the new SD card as bootable first?

<t>I am very happy these eBay auctions have been such a success for the Foundation.
