Re: HDMI to CSI-2 via TC358743 on kernel 4.1

Thanks for your inputs. I have restarted my experiments with the parameters you mentioned. I am using your test firmware with RPi 2. Below is the video taken when Toshiba connected to a Camera and raspi_tc358743 run https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/92299797/raspi_tc_default.mp4 Below is the video...

Re: HDMI to CSI-2 via TC358743 on kernel 4.1

This past couple of weeks I have been experimenting with the TC to find out ways to edit the EDID to support resolutions upto 1080p25 but after using raspi_tc358743.c (after making changes in config.txt), raspivid never works (throws different different errors) and raspi_tc358743.c does work but vid...

Re: HDMI to CSI-2 via TC358743 on kernel 4.1

@6by9 Can you tell me how to use your userland app raspi_tc358743.c as I have failed at every attempt at making it into an application. git clone https://github.com/6by9/userland.git cd userland ./buildme ./camera_i2c ./build/bin/raspi_tc358743 (that last line can probably be just "raspi_tc358743" ...

Re: HDMI to CSI-2 via TC358743 on kernel 4.1

@6by9 Thanks for your inputs. I am not proficient in Linux so I will not be able to help in development but I can provide all inputs of my testing. It will take me lots of time to understand the app and the firmware and how to use it. Also, https://github.com/6by9/userland/blob/hdmi_in/ url is not v...

Re: HDMI to CSI-2 via TC358743 on kernel 4.1

Dear Orbital6, Thanks for your inputs. I did read the entire thread but it was not clear that the driver was for the prototype board. As far as taking control of TC is concerned through i2c, would you point me in the right direction as I am not proficient in this field. And would you suggest to use ...

Re: HDMI to CSI-2 via TC358743 on kernel 4.1

Hi, I have a B101 and when I run EDID on the Pi (while raspivid -t 0) with HDMI Input connected to B101, it gives multiple resolutions of which 720p60 is preferred. "HDMI:EDID preferred mode remained as CEA (4) 1280x720p @ 60 Hz with pixel clock 74 MHz" I wonder how to set EDID on TC and shouldn't i...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Is there a way to start RPi Cam Web Interface on startup on Raspbmc? If I start manually, it starts, but with the autostart_yes option, it does not start. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm using putty for the remote console on windows: LS in the directory displays the new file with white text, whereas the backed up file is green. :?:
You will have to change the permissions of the file to make it executable.

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

For those folks living in the countries with power lines at 50hz, you can use the below mentioned raspimjpeg which shoots videos at 25 fps rather than the default 30 fps. Also, following is the video which demonstrates the effects of line frequency on video, shooting at 30 fps in fluorescent light ...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Could someone help me to change the source code so as to permanently change video fps to 25 from 30 as it is causing moving bands on recorded video. I'm also having banding problems (in the UK) so it would be interesting if this solves the problem. No time to test it, but is seems that 30fps is har...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Firstly, congratulations for a brilliant piece of software capable of full hd video with motion detection. I have a couple of queries. I am living in a country with 50 Hz supply and with default video fps of 30 in raspimjpeg, I see some moving bands on the video (in fluorescent light). To confirm th...

Re: Pi needs both RCA and HDMI to work

Just because you have connected both cables does not mean that it requires both to work. Both inputs are independent of each other. Mostly Raspbmc always works with RCA and never works with HDMI. It is nice that you are getting output via RCA because now you can troubleshoot it. When you are in XBMC...
