Re: Connecting spread out sensors wirelessly

I have Rpi 3B+ which is wifi enabled like the ESP....But finding a WLAN network in the field could be difficult. If there is bluetooth module per sensor i can stream this data to Rpi and then get the data out via a long Network cable to the modem located several meters away Make your RPi run as the...

Did you mean you can, or can't get a good signal? Im planning on buying that one for flight tracking and getting a free business account with flightradar24 :) At the moment you're stuck with using a RTL-SDR USB dongle for ADS-B (1090MHz) because no-one knows whether you can get the DVB-T μHAT to re...

I was downloading Raspbian Lite (No NOOBS)
Use the torrents. They're fairly reliable.

Also please don't mash the quotes. You're making it look like I don't know when to recommend running rpi-update which makes me look like a moron. What type of filesystem is on the HDD? If it's NTFS then you need to install ntfs-3g to access it as read/write.

Add this auto eth0 iface eth0 inet static address 192.168.3.14 netmask 24 gateway 192.168.3.254 to /etc/network/interfaces [change numbers to suit your network]. Leave /etc/dhcpcd.conf alone. That's just about guaranteed to get a static and a DHCP address assigned to your eth0 interface.

fccgiwrap uses a AF_UNIX socket. Your set-up uses a AF_INET socket. For comms between processes on the same Linux system an AF_UNIX socket has a lower CPU cost. There's no support on the board for any remote. So anything you add is going to need extra hardware.
