Re: RPI RTL-SDR server: Segmentation fault.

This is strange as I also got the same error with older versions I found here: http://cgit.osmocom.org/rtl-sdr/ The latest source also works well on Ubuntu and even on my NAS :) (just for testing) So it is very obvious that the problems are related so Raspbian. Unfortunately there is no way to debug...

Re: RPI RTL-SDR server: Segmentation fault.

Thanks for sharing. Unfortunately this version causes the problems you can see in this video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8snz1wQSRpw (starting from 1:35). This happens randomly but I never got the stream stable and continuous for more than a few minutes. It was originally my intention to build...

Re: RPI RTL-SDR server: Segmentation fault.

Unfortunately nobody seems to take care of this issue. :-( I have also posted it on the osmocom mailing list http://lists.osmocom.org/pipermail/osmocom-sdr/ but not got any reply there either. But as rtl_tcp does not show this behavior on my Ubuntu desktop machine it seems very likely that it is an ...

Re: RPI RTL-SDR server: Segmentation fault.

As I mentioned before, trying older versions of rtl-sdr result in same problems. So i decided to re-install my RPi and set up the latest Raspbian image and compiled rtl_tcp and the process crashes again on reconnecting to the server. Just for fun i compiled rtl_tcp (follwing the same instructions) o...

Re: RPI RTL-SDR server: Segmentation fault.

Unfortunately this won't help. The patch is from 2012 and already merged in the latest release. Also there have been some major changes in rtl_tcp.c
Some more ideas?

Re: RPI RTL-SDR server: Segmentation fault.

Ya, that happens too sometimes that you have to login with another session and kill rtl_tcp.
Well for me, rtl_tcp was reliable (at least not experienced the crash) until i decided to compile it again from latest code.
I found some info pointing towards libusb causing this kind of problems?!

Re: RPI RTL-SDR server: Segmentation fault.

I suffer from exactly the same problem on my RPi. rtl_tcp was running fine for almost two years. Recently I did a dist-upgrade and also decided to get the latest files via git to recompile rtl-sdr as I had random lockups that made me have to reconnect with SDR#. Compiling and installing went fine bu...

Re: Raspberry Pi won't overclock

After lots of research and I finally found the issue! When i set up the Pi I installed BerryBoot on the SD card to manage multiple OS.
And for some reason BerryBoot makes the system won't mount /boot automatically. A simple:

Code: Select all

sudo mount /dev/mmcblk0p1 /boot
Solved the problem!

Re: Raspberry Pi won't overclock

No, I didn't even touch that file and let raspi-config do the changes. [email protected] ~ $ grep arm_freq /boot/config.txt | hexdump -C 00000000 61 72 6d 5f 66 72 65 71 3d 39 30 30 0a |arm_freq=900.| 0000000d Although I read several times here in the forum that this output after changing the overclock...

Re: Raspberry Pi won't overclock

It is a fresh install of Raspbian. Added Apache, Mysql, watchdog and wiringPI, thats all. Never played with anything related to the cpu governor or frequency setting.

Code: Select all

[email protected] ~ $ vcgencmd get_config arm_freq
arm_freq=0

Re: Raspberry Pi won't overclock

Hello, I am aware of the way overclocking works and that not all Raspberry PI are capable to run stable at frequency above 700 MHz. But if there is some problem with overclocking, then this wold result in unstable operation, undesired reboots, data corruption etc. But here the case is different: the...

Raspberry Pi won't overclock (solved)

Got a problem with OC'ing the Pi. I'm using the latest Raspbian and selected the Overclocking Mode in raspi-config. But unfortunately the Pi is stuck at 700 MHz. I put the CPU under stress with nbench and checked the actual frequency in various ways but still stuck at 700 no matter how much I stress...

Re: DHT Humidity Sensing - Raspberry Pi with Google Docs log

I have followed the Adafruit tutorial and the logging to the spreadsheet actually works.
Now I am stuck while I am looking for a way to run this python script automatically at startup of the pi?

Autostart a python script - need help pls

I recently got the Adafruit tutorial on DHT sensors working http://learn.adafruit.com/dht-humidity-sensing-on-raspberry-pi-with-gdocs-logging/connecting-to-google-docs Now I want the python script to update the spereadsheet at bootup of the RPi. In a shell it runs fine with: sudo /path/to/file/googl...
