My experience shows that, unlike other Pi models, if the SD card is not inserted and correctly seated there is no light on.
It's worth a check.

How about a different approach. Utilise a PI Zero as the 'selection' system with a touch screen display. Thanks for the update have now got v106 installed and have installed Inet so now I can get on with my project.
Tried jessie but had no luck with lnet, has anyone managed to get that combination to work?
