Re: Can't get SPI devices

AJB2K3

If you un-comment the line with spi-bcm2708, the spi module will be blacklisted at next reboot.
blacklist spi and i2c by default (many users don't need them)
You have comment the spi line to load the spi module at boot
(By commenting a line, you remove the module from the boot blacklist)

Yes, I already did that :

Code: Select all

Re: Boblight possible?

Sorry guys one more question but more of a general one which might help other people that look as well, unless its already been answered :lol: What is the advantages/disadvantages of using 50 LEDs or 100 LEDs? See your leds as pixels, more you have more the light effect is precise. It also depend o...

Re: Boblight possible?

I really don't understand why a shortcut between GPIO pin could make it fry as maximum voltage between CLK, DATA and GRD is 2,2V and the limit of GPIO is 3V3. The GPIO pins are directly wired to the proc, without any protections, so : you make shortcut in gpio => you make shortcut in proc. And here...

Re: Boblight possible?

benpownall wrote:Thnaks, anyone know re

sizedown=112
margin=5
I think sizedown is the depth in which boblight will scan colors.
And margin can be the same as sizedown but in horizontal.
So,
sizedown : depth for vertical scan (to avoid scanning black band on top and bottom ?)
margin : depth for horizontal scan

Re: Boblight possible?

Can anyone offer advice as to these settings and what they do? I have found a few. As I know * Saturation and value are multipliers for HSV color space: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HSL_and_HSV * Speed is a factor for a first order lowpass filter, it goes from 0 to 100, the higher you set it the fa...
