Re: HELP! Please help me turn on/off a light with RPI

Actually I did request a "no relay" way to do this...yet like setting the GPIO to 0 I got everything but what I expected. :D No big deal. I now have several ways to do what I originally set out to do. Brainstorming is limitless once you introduce foreign influences. Thank you to all who have and wil...

Re: Issues w/ running .exe

The pi doesn't run off windows, therefore you can't run those types of files. Its a totally different operating system, so it has totally different application files. Your problem is similar to trying to run that same file on your android smartphone...it's just not going to work.

Re: Connect Pi to internet using ethernet to pc, then wirele

Unless you are using a very very old NIC, it supports auto sensing, which allows you to plug in a regular patch cable (ethernet cable) and it will do the exact same as a cross-over cable. When you wire two machines together this way the only difference is there is no DHCP server to assign a dynamic ...

Re: Networking the Pi through a win7 box with tethered 3g?

Apparently this is trickier than I thought...I know that the two interfaces that connect the pi and the win7 box must be on a different subnet from the interface connected to the Internet, but I still haven't worked out all the details...any help at all would be appreciated.

Networking the Pi through a win7 box with tethered 3g?

Ok, here is my problem, I want internet access on my Raspberry Pi through my home network. My Pi is currently running Kali Linux. I am fairly new to linux so this could be easier than I am making it out to be. My desktop is currently running windows 7 and connected to the internet via a usb tether c...
