Re: Boblight possible?

sounds to me more like you have the leds connected to the pi wrong. thats exactly what happened to me and that what it turned out to be in the end. it should be easy enough to determine the ground wire on your led's and then you just have clock and data left and only two ways round. i just would not...

Re: Boblight possible?

no, it was me that the velcro only lasted one night. i didn't plan to keep the velcro though it was just to test. it doesn't work perfectly because when you get up to 100 led's the gap between them is not always sufficient for the velcro to "connect". i built a very simple aluminium frame to hold th...

Re: Boblight possible?

oh, well that i wouldn't disagree with. i said 0.1-0.2 seconds delay its not a delay (mine has also less than a sec "delay" hardly noticable) its like when you see someone moving under stroboscope light, the "movement" of your light is not as fluid as it should be, like a bad movie with 10 fps i wo...

Re: Boblight possible?

Hi guys, I solved my problem about flickering ! :D I don't know why but when I powered my leds on the middle of them (at the middle top, 50leds on each side) for an egal dividing of power, it's a christmas tree. When I apply power after the first stripe (at the middle right), it's better. And when ...

Re: Boblight possible?

so i built a simple aluminium frame and i have 100 LED's pointing directly away from the back of the tv. powered by one 5V PSU at the beginning and it all works well. there's still some improvement to be made with the timing, i'm still seeing 0.1-0.2 second delay in the changes but i'm very happy wi...

sounds great! i can't wait to give that a try. so, frames. what are people doing? as i've ruled out velcro now i need to look at some alternatives. i got this http://www.123brackets.co.uk/Product/SAMSUNG/40/BracketStyle_t0/vesa/LE-40-A455/Super-slim-line-flat-bracket---large-p465.html and some mesh ...

Re: Boblight possible?

Yep, install the normal Raspbmc distro, copy over your existing config files and then enable boblight in Raspbmc settings. No need to modify/replace XBMC/OMXplayer as it's already had the patch applied. do you need the boblight add on to be installed? no you don't. all working now! so, whats the be...

so is there an older version of raspbmc it should work with or are we just waiting for a fix?
