Re: Best Web Server?

My bad, I suppose the way I got it up and running wasn't all that "hard". So anyways, I've got apache2, mysql, phpmyadmin, php5, and even webmin up and running. My new question is.. I want to use the Virtual Hosts feature on apache. How can I set it up so that anyone connected to the same network as...

Best Web Server?

Hello, So I use XAMPP on my pc, and I would like to do a similar task on my pi: a simple, one-click installation. Is there any AMP server available like so for the pi? Like would running

Code: Select all

pi@raspberrypi $ sudo apt-get install lamp
work? Or Do I have to do it the "hard" way? Thanks!

Re: Having really bad luck..

The issue is that my pi is blocked 24/7... but i've found a workaround - for now, by using Internet conection sharing on my laptop. It requires a bit more work than I'd want tp do, but hey it works. He also enabeled vLan on the other three ethernet ports that our shared computer uses. He is convince...

Re: Having really bad luck..

Thank you, I actually did get myself a small, portable TP-Link WR702n Nano router. I usually used it with our Linksys E2500 router, until my dad enabeled vLan on the other three ethernet ports, leaving only one for our shared family computer. What do I do?

Re: Is this a good usb hub?

I ended up overpowering the hub, and so now it's toast anyways. I am however, now using a 7-port USB hub here: http://amzn.com/B007S642BW . It did not come with a power adapter, but I had a spare +5v 3a adapter from an unsupported belkin 7-port mobile hub. The New hub works great, it has switches fo...

Re: Is this a good usb hub?

Okay because when i did try to backpower the pi it keptgoing and out, and the pi alone seems not to be able to be powered from the hub backpowered or via microUSB. So should i get a better power supply? More amps, but stick with 5v. Correct? Any reccomendations for a better power supply?
