Re: Gstreamer 1.0 for raspbian

For the new Gstreamer versions (>1.0.x) I would like to have the raspbian people packaging them for jessie. Because the new versions need some dependencies which are not part of wheezy. I'm not familiar with packagining system on linux. Do you mean that you cannot add missing deps to your own repo ...

Re: Gstreamer 1.0 for raspbian

Raspbian is based on Debian. Building and Installing Debian packages is well documented. See http://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/maint-guide/ Yes, last Version I have compiled is 1.0.9. If you just want to install them, see http://wiki.matthiasbock.net/index.php/Hardware-accelerated_video_playback_on...

What are the other parameters of your file? Could you attach output of `gst-discoverer --verbose <file>`?

Re: Gstreamer 1.0 for raspbian

I was able to fix the problem by compiling gstreamer from the sources.

I think maintainer of http://vontaene.de/raspbian-updates/ should update packages.

Re: Gstreamer 1.0 for raspbian

Did you try the pipeline as it is shown here: http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=326571#p326571 Thank you for the reply! Yes, I tried it (except that I used 1080p version of this movie). I also tried to overclock pi to 1 GHz, but it didn't really help. I dedicated 256MB of memory to ...

Re: Gstreamer 1.0 for raspbian

Hi everyone. A few questions: Neither ximagesink nor xvimagesink work on my pi (Raspbian). xvinfo returns "Unable to open display". How do you make the sinks above work? When playing 1080p (h264) fps is low. Is it known issue or I miss some parameters in my pipeline? filesrc location=./big_buck_bunn...
