Thanks!
Is there infrared light of some specific frequency that is 1. invisible to human eye and 2. can be picked up much more strongly by the normal Rpi camera than in the picture you've given?
Or any other way to have "normal" colors plus infrared illumination?

Rpi Camera vs. PiNoir: Normal Colors + Infrared?
I understand that the PiNoir can pick up infrared light but the colors are altered. Is it possible to have normal colors and additionally pick up infrared light? Such as is happening in the following video: http://youtu.be/SHbwi6JP7FM?t=50s (the webcam picks up the infared LEDs of the headsets). Tha...

Re: Mobile Pi - Power Solution?
Sorry, I wasn't clear enough. I mean, whether solutions exist that shutdown if the power is getting low or that supply extra power in an accident of power loss.

Mobile Pi - Power Solution?
In the past I had problems with sudden interruptions of the power supply. Led to corrupted OS.
Are there scripts out there that manually shutdown the Pi or even better custom hardware solutions?
Thanks very much!

SD corrupt if power disconnect abruptly
Hey, I autostart a python program to run my Pi mobile without visual input. I mistakenly disconnected the Pi of the battery pack. The error message: "No filesystem could mount root, tried: ext4 [ 2.04266] ... Kernel Panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(179.2)"...

Re: Alternatives or replacements for camera flex cable?
I ordered the following http://www.bitwizard.nl/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=146&osCsid=44up0jouacqt8bbos103lvf507 in 120 cm and it just works. Be aware that the original ribbon cable and the extention set's ribbon cable are very fragile and shouldn't be bent to often. I lost one of each...

Re: vertical artifacts in low light condition video ...
I had horizontal artifacts, flickering, banding in low light conditions. When my Pi was connected to the wall's power supply the power cable's length was irrelevant. Connected to a battery pack though, the power cable's length plays a role. I now use my mobile Pi camera only connected to the battery...

Mobile Camera - Endless Stream is Quite Tricky
Hello! Idea: Mobile Pi powered by battery pack with an attached camera board. The Pi is constantly recording full hd video. This buffer is being discarded. Only if a button is pressed 2 minutes before the button press and 1 minute after will be saved. Besides a LED (not on the camera board) stays li...

Re: HDR raspivid and raspistill
Thanks for the example.
HDR is a skill that depends on the context of the photo. One could clearly maintain the contrast of the first picture but also lighten up the annoying drowning bits.

Thanks for your answer and sorry for not clarifying.
Besides the firmware, there wouldn't be any other way? Am I right, that the manual exposure is not yet implemented in the cameraboard firmware?

attach a LED + resistor to a unused GPIO pin and flash it each time you write? or if you have the LED on the camera you can see it flashing or use a texy lcd shield and write to that Thanks for the ideas. The led on camera I cannot use. Texy's shield looks promising. Stick a bluetooth serial adapto...

Doe they interfere with the size of your shield? 3. Is access to the remaining GPIO pins possible? 4. Do you know of any case that fits t...

Mobile Pi: How to check whether Script is running?
Hello, imagine a mobile Raspberry Pi powered by a battery pack doing raspivid via python script. It basically records an infinite succession of 5 min raspivideo. The cameraboard led must be off. And I have no GUI or command line display. What ways can you think of to be sure/check that the program i...

Sync Camera Board Output with Microphone Audio
Hello,
I have yet to decide what microphone setup to acquire but I would like to know in advance:
In what way is it possible to sync a video generated by the camera board with an audio file generated by a microphone?
Many thanks,
smx

A pint of pi ... I'd love to join if I wouldn't be in Berlin. Makes me remember the days I lived in London.
edit: Funny, I just noticed your meetup will be held in the hostel's pub I lived in for my first couple of months over there.

you did attach the fisheye lense of the mentioned pack of three lenses? Would you be so kind and post a photo with the "wide angle lense" contained in the pack?
