raspi-copies-and-fills version 0.10 breaks the Subversion command line client with existing checkouts. I had to manually downgrade to 0.5-1 to get Subversion working again. Having trouble reproducing this one. I checked out a random repo and ran the command you gave. If you go to 0.10 and comment o...

So, would it be possible to implement something like this on some sort of USB stick? You can do it in a udev rule. Insert the USB stick and run the command 'lsusb'. Find the ID-information for the USB stick. $ lsusb Bus 001 Device 006: ID 0781:5567 SanDisk Corp. Cruzer Blade Bus 001 Device 004: ID ...

You can find the serial number in /proc/cpuinfo. The six last digits is reused in MAC address.

The samba server does not give root access to the samba client or you do not mount the share as root.
The parameter "admin users = your_client_user_name" in smb.conf on the samba server might help.

No problem. All TCP traffic between port 5901 on pc client and vnc server is tunneld via putty to/from the host you login to. The vnc client believes that the vnc server is running on your PC and the vnc server believes that the vnc client is running on the host you login to from putty. You loose th...

Something like this. In putty navigate to Connection-SSH-Tunnels. Source port: 5901 Destination: 192.168.1.150:5901 Press "Add". Source port is port forwarded from the computer where you run putty. Destination is hostname and port as used if you run vnc client on the server where you login...

If I comment out "sudo hwclock -s" and leave everything else alone in the rc.local file it does not reset the RTC. rc.local is running as root so there is no need for "sudo". Check the battery. A new battery should be at ~3.1V. I have three of them in use with no problem. My rc....

Re: Using the other i2c bus hangs raspistill

Perhaps not related to the issue but you probably need to have a bigger delay between each invocation of raspistill - I doubt it can run up, capture then shutdown that fast and keep itself clean. I'd also use a longer -t value as well, I don't think 100 is enough for the exposure to have stabilised...

Using the other i2c bus hangs raspistill

There is some conflict between the i2c buses. The shell script can run for hours with no problem if I do not access the RTC clock http://www.adafruit.com/products/264. raspistill hangs if I run the command "hwclock -r" a few times. The camera LED is on. raspistill also hangs if I run pytho...
