Re: /var/log in tmpfs - errors

Solution 1(preffered) I found a more elgant solution that the one I first posted, by using systemd. When mounting '/var/log' as 'tmpfs', you need to edit the below file, to add all the files/directories your current services need to find. /usr/lib/tmpfiles.d/var.conf Brilliant! Thanks for the tip, ...

Re: lcd power consumption

The power meter I'm using is a Perel.eu E305EM5 (http://www.perel.eu/products/view/?id=382030). It is supposed to be accurate up to .2W according to the specs.

The display says Watt, not VA. According to the manual this is the 'real power'.

Re: lcd power consumption

@Kiste: are those numbers measured on at the 230V power socket or at the power supply exit? @JimmyN: it does look suspicious indeed. It would expect/hope the efficiency would be at least somewhere around 80%. Unfortunately my other powermeter doesn't go below 10W at all. Hmm, if the power supply wou...

lcd power consumption

According to the specs the lcd should consume less than 500mA, at 5V that means less than 2.5W. When I have the powersupply plugged into a power-meter (or whatever that's called in English), I see power dropping from 9.6W to 5.15W when I turn off the backlight of the display. That's a difference of ...

Re: 3.2" TFT LCD + touchscreen + five buttons

Is there a way to calibrate the touchscreen? I don't seem to be able to reach the top and bottom ~0.5cm

Re: Why do I see only 374MB if gpu_mem=16?

I did apt-get update; apt-get dist-upgrade a number of times already. vcgencmd indeed shows the gpu got 128MB altough I configured it to get only 16MB (should I do anything else besides reboot after I update /boot/config.txt ?) I'm running rpi-update now to make sure I have the latest firmware. Seem...

Why do I see only 374MB if gpu_mem=16?

Hi, just got myself a new piece of Pi. When I run top I notice I only see 274MB of RAM. I know the memory is shared with the GPU, but I allocated only 16MB to the GPU (I'm using the Pi as a server so I don't care about graphics). Any ideas what may be wrong? cat /boot/config.txt arm_freq=800 gpu_mem...
