Pidora Shellshock Update

Hello, The latest bash has been built for pidora and is temporarily hosted on: http://pidora.ca until the yum update is available. Yum update may be delayed since this happened during the movement of pidora koji development systems. For a quick fix just run: yum localinstall -y http://pidora.ca/pido...

Re: Error Message Failed to fork (Cannot allocate memory)

I was pretty sure you could use graphics and open the terminal on a 256mb pi, though it would be slow. Maybe there are some errors when setting up, some things to consider could be: - Did the swap get created properly, you can run the command "free -m" and see if there are any numbers under swap? - ...

Re: Pidora 2014 now available.

Alexander Brown, You can upgrade from previous version of Pidora, but that would be a bit dangerous and may require a strong understanding of rpm packages and repositories. I would recommend just getting the newest release of Pidora 2014, through noobs or direct download. You can update to the late...

Pidora 2014 Custom Images

So this might help. If anyone has the time to spend making a minimal pidora image or make a kickstart for one, you can use this somewhat complete notes: http://zenit.senecac.on.ca/wiki/index.php/Pidora_2014_compose example pidora 2014 kickstart: http://zenit.senecac.on.ca/wiki/index.php/Pidora-2014-...

In the Tracker it states version 18 but at present 20 is current.

OP are you running version 20 ?
Yep, changed it to pidora 2014.

Pidora QEMU Environment

Just for fun and not really useful(I don't think), but here is a link to setting up a Pidora 2014 Raspberry Pi QEMU environment. This means you can emulate a fake raspberry pi on your main system, for whatever reason. This is sometimes faster, so if you are planning on working on some software or wa...

Re: How to find the current IP address?

In Pidora, the easiest way to find the raspberry pi's ip address is to simply run the command:

ip addr show

If you are more familiar with "ifconfig":

yum install net-tools
ifconfig

Re: Minimal server

Sounds like a interesting idea. Maybe a modified kickstart file for a much smaller custom compose with no gui? Current kickstart for making pidora 2014 images: http://zenit.senecac.on.ca/wiki/index.php/Pidora-2014-kickStart Also, just for fun, you could remove all xfce and gnome packages. Change def...

Pidora Temporary DNS Fix

Pidora.ca name servers appear to keep going down. We are as a "quick and temporary" fix, changing the yum repository files to point to pidora.proximity.on.ca until issues have been resolved with the pidora.ca name server. How to manually apply the fix: the files inside /etc/yum.repos.d/ must be modi...

Re: Extend root filesystem using CLI parted & resize2fs

The best way to Resize the Rootfs on Pidora 2014 while using headless mode, if to use the Headless Mode function to resize it. This can be done by adding the option "RESIZE" to the headless file, see a detailed description in the link with examples for both DHCP and Static. See here: http://zenit.se...
