Re: Zero pi in Italy/Spain

I agree with you Alex. (And I love your blog)

I'm only saying that these companies can introduce a regular mail option with the advice to not refund it in case of lost/damage ítem etc etc....

Re: Zero pi in Italy/Spain

I'd like to think that the majority of people are honest (in italy as in England as in Australia etc etc) and a lot of person speak for 'cliché '. I buy a lot of from china with untracked method (free and slow...1 month min.) ...and I don't think that chinese sellers lose money sending to Italy or S...

Re: Zero pi in Italy/Spain

The problem is not the postal service. I received more or less 100 packages untracked from china to barcelona (only 1 lost). The problem is the people. There are some persons in Italy/Spain that once the untracked package arrive, they declare that it is lost, and ask a refund. There are no problem w...

Re: Zero pi in Italy/Spain

Could be enought put the shipment at lower price (untracked) with an advice: "if you choose this option, we don't guarantee the delivery of the package. No refund will be provided in case the item loss " Done. It's works for me, and for many others. I buy a lot of things in this way from china. Is i...

Re: Zero pi in Italy/Spain

Buy 20 of them and sell the rest of them to your countrymen. You'll make profit too ;) Texy you can't. i'm waiting for the limit to be removed btw this is an old problem, at least now if you want to pay a ridiculous amount of money for the dispatchment you can. If i buy a mill machine from UK in it...

Re: Zero pi in Italy/Spain

First of all there is a restriction of 1 device for order.

A part this, comparing a mill machine with a device that could fit into an envelope is not really clever.

And more....RS for example offer free shipment if you retire the item in certain place.

Re: Zero pi in Italy/Spain

I know. But could be possible to find some national resellers in these countries.... Or may be sell it through RS at 6/7€.

One thing is clear, the actual method doesn't work very well.

Re: Zero pi in Italy/Spain

Yes.... But I don't think that pay 12£ for a 5€ device is a good option...

Please make a phone call to RS Components!

Re: Raspberry Pi Zero

Zero is in continuous volume production. Tens of thousands are coming off the line as I type this. We're pushing them out as fast as we can, but they're not currently being made at the same rate as the "big" Pis. The level of demand is insane, even for a Raspberry Pi product: if you guys keep buyin...

Re: Raspberry Pi Zero

surfparadise, Quite right, the foundation is not like a kickstart company. Neither is it a for profit company with a ton of money to invest into speculatively filling up supply channels with product prior to launch. It's a charity. With an educational mission. I think they were very wise to start o...

Re: Raspberry Pi Zero

....this situation is pretty ridiculous.... Before to announce a product and start to sell it, a company should be verify the availability and the reseller channels chain. Re: Raspberry Pi Zero

Yeah of course. But for example RS provide free shipping if you pick up yourself the item in a specific delivery point.... so you can buy a really small (cheap) amount of components without shipping cost.

Re: Raspberry Pi Zero

After that the stock of zero device will be at normal level, the only solution would be to find an arrangment with the big reseller (rs and farnell). Maybe increasing the price of 1 or 2 dollars....to make the margin more atractive to them.

Re: Raspberry Pi Zero

pimoroni.com shipping cost to Spain £25.13 PiHut doesn't delivery at all. I would suspect that the problem is that unreliable postal deliveries have made the retailers unwilling to ship using your national postal service unfortunately there isn't much you can do about that. Is there anyone you coul...

Piezo buzzer problem

Hi, I have a problem to use my piezo buzzer. Datasheet : http://www.taydaelectronics.com/datasheets/A-875.pdf When I use it as a normal output (high the pin where it is connected) I have a nice beep, but I can't set up it with a specific Hz frequency (doesn't works at all). Why? Normal output: impor...
