This only uses the version one of Airplay so it only does audio. I am working on a new image for this with all the updated software. I will look into adding MPD or other suggestions. I have a Nexus 4 that I will check to see if there is a work around for getting both the wifi and cell data to work.

Yes, just comment out those lines. Now you will not get the wifi icon in the status bar on iOS because the cell data is still the primary connection to the Internet.

It is where shairport is asking for packets to be resent. If you didn't use the latest dev-1.0 branch from git there are some fixes in there that will greatly reduce the occurrence of this.

You will need to make sure the pi has a network cable to the router and then check the dhcp leases on the router for the pi IP address. It will not be in the wifi devices unless you have a wifi adapter and have configured it to connect to your router.

Do you have a volt meter or multimeter where you can measure the voltage on the pi itself? While the wiki may say a particular power adapter should work each one is different and it may not be sending enough current. If you have a wifi adapter at all post the lsusb name here and we can tell you for certain if it does AP mode. There is a fairly easy setup for the edimax adapter that requires an extra step or two in setting up hostapd.
