I have the same error. I am following the instructions in Raspberry Pi Geek (Issue #02) which appears to be taken from the adafruit instructions. Thanks for that information.  I had been wondering if a HDMI -> DVI -> VGA would work - seems not then.

I used to write in Macro-11 - great assembly language.
