Differences between Model B and B+

Other than an additional (2) USB 2.0 ports on the model B+, is there any other notable differences between that and the first generation Model B? Is the CPU/GPU any different or is there more memory on the Model B+?

Any Wireless N 300 adapters?

Are there any Wireless N 300 USB adapters that work right out of the box for the Pi. I'm running the latest version of the Raspbian Distribution (released 9/9/14). I'd also like to find one that will also work with Raspbian and/or OpenElec.

question for those using a PI as a server

Question for those who are using a PI as a file server: How are you dealing with the limitations of USB 2.0 and 10/100 Mb Ethernet? Is there any workarounds for the USB 2.0 speed (I think I can get over the 10/100 Mb network speed by getting a Wireless N adapater...)

getting OpenELEC onto SD card with Windows PC

Anyone know how to get the OpenElec system onto an SD card using a Windows computer? For some reason, it's stored in a TAR file (I think) and I can't seem to find an image in the file to write to an SD card....

visual tools for programming?

Are there any visual tools for creating GUIs on the PI? Preferrably one that write in C/C++? Unless Python is easier to use for GUI stuff...

Certified Class 10 SD cards

I read somewhere that the Raspberry Pi should really only use Class 4 SD cards. Is there a list of certified Class 10 or even Class 6 cards that will work with the Pi? I'd like to run RaspBMC, but have noticed that when using a Class 4 it can be a little slow, so I'd like to try to speed it up a lit...

Re: GUI Programming for Raspbian

What about using C/C++ for GUI programming in Raspbian? Any good books or sites that have good beginner/novice examples/tutorials? Are there any good Python GUI programming books (or just good Python programming books) available? (I learn more by example than by just reading directions on how to do ...

WiFi adapters that work with the Pi

I'm using the Raspbian Wheezy (regular image, not the "soft float" image) and was wondering of any Wireless N adapaters (300 Mbps) that have support for ARM-based linux distros so that they will work with the Wheezy image.

I have a few, but none of them have Linux drivers support.

Anti-Virus / Firewall

Is there really a need for Anti-Virus when using the Pi and Raspbian for web browsing??? What about a Firewall? I guess I'm more concerned about people getting in rather than viruses (since viruses are less common in Linux than they are in Windows from what I've been told). Any good suggestions for ...

GUI Programming for Raspbian

Is there a good tool for doing GUI programming with the Raspbian distro (either using C/C++ or Python)? I'd like to get into GUI programming a bit for LInux distros, and want to try it on the Pi.

I'm experienced in C/C++, but a little new to Python...

install a specific version of MySQL

I was reading the book that I got from the bookstore (Raspberry Pi User Guide written partially by Eben Upton) and it talked about installing and running the LAMP stack. I noticed that it installs one of the more recent versions of PHP5 and MySQL (I think 5.3.4 and 5.5 repsectively),. Is there a way...
