ah I have just seen this /opt/vc/src/hello_pi mentioned in the quick start guide, off to look there, brb.

type make to create a binarry file

then use ./filename.bin to run it

I think (but don't quote me on this) you can have php and html in a .php page but only html in a .html page.

I tried a few , two of them stayed on 0% but the youtube one worked fine and played youtube videos quite well. I'd like to know if theres a bbc iplayer /itv /ch4 plugin available?

is there anything i need to do to enble the analog audio output? At the moment I have output set to analog but have no sound just video on all the files i have tried.

if you were using the 2 GB image and didn't resize it , it sounds like you filled the disk up. BTW vlc works but omxplayer is much better as its hardware accelerated.

I have used sandisk 8 and 16 GB SD cards both class 4 (purchased from play.com) and have had no problems with them, also using an htc chargers as power or sometimes a powered usb hub.

I have the same fault both ethernet and the USB ports don't work. Have sent the unit back to RS hope to get a replacement soon.

When resizing the partition note the following:

the partition has to be unmounted to resize and the unallocated space has to be next to it, so you may need to move one of the other partitions first to one end

It is vlc 1.1.3 but it hasnt managed to play a video file yet although I did glimps a picture for a few seconds on a home movie in mpg format

Update

sudo apt-get install vlc

I instaled video lan client and audo plays on the headphones

with the vlc player of course, LXMusic still does nothing
