Re: ADS1115 change sample rate

The datasheet says: 9.3.6 Output Data Rate and Conversion Time The ADS111x offer programmable output data rates. Use the DR[2:0] bits in the Config register to select output data rates of 8 SPS, 16 SPS, 32 SPS, 64 SPS, 128 SPS, 250 SPS, 475 SPS, or 860 SPS. Conversions in the ADS111x settle within a...

Re: Bugreport: Where?

They closed the bugreport as it is repackaged by raspian. So: Where is the raspian bug tracker?

Google links me to: https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux/issues but it is not a kernel issue .....

Re: Pi4 as Desktop computer

I currently write from my pi4. I try to use it as a desktop too. Has anyone tried to visit amazon.de from it? It looks like it is expecting something it does not get.

Re: RAM issues on the new Raspberry Pi 4 - 4GB

Thats the problem with 32 bit processes. They can not use 4 GB as on Linux about 1GB virtual memory is locked for the kernel/Hardware/IO stuff.

Re: Raspberry Pi 4 Thread - general discussion

It is total amazing watching an empty google page and watching on my PC via ssh the pi4 temperature and htop. 4 Cores maximum load and the pi4 reaches 80°C and it starts to throttle. As an aside, I wonder if simply having a browser open to an empty google page would be expected to result in 100% on...

Re: Raspberry Pi 4 Thread - general discussion

I got an usb keyboard, HDMI, Ethernet (no Wifi configured), power and thats it EDIT: I got the 3A PSU from the Pi foundation. Does the Pi reboot successfully if you unplug everything except ethernet and power? (i.e. unplug all other peripherals during the shutdown phase) Dear jdb, i tried to unplug...

Re: Raspberry Pi 4 Thread - general discussion

Thanks to Reichelt.de i got my RPi4 at thursday :) Very nice device, but i got an anoying problem: The reboot does not always properly work. Regardless if i do "sudo reboot -f" or "sudo reboot". The device is connected to LAN (at 100 MBit). Latest buster image from the download site and newest updat...

Pi Store

Some time ago, i bought licences for the RPi 3 to decode VM-1/MPEG-2 Videos in Hardware. I got email from "Raspberry Pi Store <[email protected].org>". This was in November 2016. That store was directly from this page but i cant find it anymore. is it closed? Where do you get this licences now for n...

Raspbian: linux media: could not get a free minor

Hi, I use on my RPi3 a Webcam Bus 001 Device 120: ID 046d:0809 Logitech, Inc. Webcam Pro 9000 Its the only device on the USB bus (except the internal connected ones). I use it to capture pictures for a webcam server. The process webcam crashes often, so I put it into a systemd service with Restart=a...

firmware kernel image vs linux src tree

Hi, as the Pi kernel just shows 4.9.10-v7+ its not a tag like on stable mainline tree on x86_64 kernels. How to exactly match the binaries from https://github.com/raspberrypi/firmware to https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux ? The issue is, i want to add a patch to the exact running kernel and rebuil...

Re: Entering aarch64 execution state

There is an intersting Topic regarding 3D: Kernel driver status The V3D kernel driver is now upstream in kernel 4.5. The devicetree has not been updated for the driver, so you can find a patch for that at: https://github.com/anholt/linux/tree/vc4-kms-v3d-squash-2-boot. The Raspberry Pi Foundation's ...

Re: Entering aarch64 execution state

I've only tested the spin table with the test app in my rpi-3-aarch64-demo repo. However, Eric Anholt got it working with the mainline kernel. It looks like that code is here: https://github.com/anholt/linux/commit/be4ac324fe5ab14816ab06a8fd956bb9897cd23a#diff-312c904c5fb48e9906d35bad1317b0ecR30 (t...

Re: Entering aarch64 execution state

Try running Linpack. Make sure it's compiled with all AArch64 features and NEON + VFPv4. This my my linpack result. gcc -O3 -march=armv8-a+crc -mtune=cortex-a53 -ftree-vectorize linpackc.c -o linpack [email protected]_3 64_bit ~ $ ./linpack Enter array size (q to quit) [200]: Memory required: 315K. Re: Entering aarch64 execution state

The RPi3 is specified with 1.2 GHz. So it is no overclocking. About the patches: I create today evening a repository on github based on marcus_c/zeldin linux. About the dwc2 patch: I try to contact the maintainers and ask them about their opinion. 11% more performance would be fantastic on the Intel...

Re: Entering aarch64 execution state

More likely it's not the DMA driver itself that is the issue, but perhaps some of the virtual<->physical<->bus translation functions do not work with 64-bit build. Is this DMA address translation architecture dependent? I think of x86_64 (obvious 64 bit and running). Is this BCM2837 specific? I jus...
