Re: Crash at hh:17:10 every day

Same as mine under Raspbian Wheezy with 'time out killing' errors or message. This was happening continuously and randomly but If I eject the SD and reboot again it went straight to desktop quite quickly. Never had this kind of problem in RISCOS. Raspbian Jessie boot sequence seems fine but the prob...

Re: WebIOPi : control your Pi’s GPIO with a browser

Your work is really great! I have done many modifications on the menu apps side by forcing myself to learn html, java and css scripts. I have now several modified buttons and background (green PCB layout) I preferred. It was entirely different from your six buttons example. Many many thanks for your...

Re: Raspberry Pi Model A+ hang-up using RISCOS

Thanks Fladda. I checked this link (https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/view ... 28&t=96391) and now I know that my issue on A+ is very common. Well, I'll just get use to it despite it is cumbersome to use a big keyboard while testing my robot outside our building or will just keep the Rev. B on ...

Re: Raspberry Pi Model A+ hang-up using RISCOS

Just another comparison, both my mini and standard size keyboard works on my Asus laptop running Windows 8.1. So, if it works both on Rev B and RPi 2 and not on A+ then A+ USB could be problematic for some USB devices. We still don't have a definitive answer and perhaps Ben Upton has an answer or th...

Re: Raspberry Pi Model A+ hang-up using RISCOS

I played around so much with the Rev B (made in China and UK) for more than one year now. This RPi had endured severe torture, the one I used for my robotic car/vacuum cleaner. It is powered by Ni/Cd batteries through a 5 Volts regulator (7805). Actually I connected the 5 Volts supply directly on th...

Re: Raspberry Pi Model A+ hang-up using RISCOS

Yes. It's a 1 Amp Smartphone charger. It works fine on RPi 2 and Rev B. I enable again the TCP/IP on A+ and it functions very well now with the standard size keyboard. I was thinking that the A+ identify the mini wireless keyboard receiver as wi-fi dongle or the current level in USB port is not enou...

Re: Raspberry Pi Model A+ hang-up using RISCOS

Merci beaucoup! Finally it works, didn't realized that I need to go back to basics. Reconfigured the microSD on my Rev. B by disabling the network connection (TCP/IP) and inserted it back on A+. But I found another problem, the mini wireless keyboard (same size as DVD Remote Control) I'm using didn'...

Re: Raspberry Pi Model A+ hang-up using RISCOS

It does not hang: DHCP timeout is veeeryyyyyy long. A press on escape sould bypass it. Else, you have the solution to boot from the B to deactivate TCP/IP and then to boot again on the A+. Good luck. Thanks for your reply but I tried the Esc key but it didn't work perhaps because I'm using an RF 2....

Raspberry Pi Model A+ hang-up using RISCOS

I am upgrading my robotics project from using RPi Rev. B to Rpi A+. Unfortunately while testing both the latest RPi 2 and A+, the RPi 2 completed the booting process and shows the desktop while the RPi Model A+ freezes searching for internet connection. I have 3 pieces of this A+ and I am so disappo...

Re: BASIC

Have just got my new B.+ and am interested in using BASIC for programming. Have found some information re tiny basic & other flavours along with suggestion that one version may be included in the Raspbian release but can't seem to find how to download, install etc. Apologies if this has been do...

Re: BASIC

You maybe surprised what BBC Basic is capable of. I already wrote a 13 page (A4) program for my Robotics project. Utilizing now 15 GPIOs as output for motors and input for IR and Ultrasonic sensors. I need more GPIOs, so I acquired the latest RPi A+ and B+. More GPIOs means more sensors and function...

Re: Risc OS Pi RC14 Now Available

Received my RPi 2 B+ from UPS 3 days ago from UPS. Installed today the latest RISCOS but found that the GPIO used in my RPi B Rev 2 didn't work and incompatible. Searched the internet for the latest GPIO issue but to no avail. Hope the GPIO creator release the latest version soon. Not sure if the GP...

See that site and post your questions. The program I designed as shown on that video is written in BBC BASIC.

Re: Very basic guide to BASIC please?

I've tried searching this forum for the answers, I really have, but I just can't find them: I've finally gotten around to firing up a card with RISCOS on it - looks nice. Now I want to write, save, load and run a simple BASIC program. So far, I've only found that if I press F12, I get into a comman...
