On that floor we have a different unit that is a logger with no tv and it does not have a problem, it has internet access for emailing and I can see it is not rebooting.. Re: HDMI earth /spike causing sd card corruption??

The problem is we have over 100 units out here and only 3 or 4 have problems and they are not at the same site. A site may have 10 units and 2 have issues. It is therefore not software! The original pis ie model A had protection diodes on the HDMI , we can t seem to find if the ModelA+ also have the...

HDMI earth /spike causing sd card corruption??

We use lots of Model As 24/7 monitoring a nurse call system in hospitals. At some locations we have random sd card corruptions. Its really difficult to know if power goes down or not but suddenly the pis will show the boot screen. As they are running on the hospital ups there should not be spikes.. ...

Re: Portable Power Bank for Raspberry Pi 3

I have a 10000mAh power bank and what I have done is put in a buck DC - DC Convertor directly onto the Battery. http://www.communica.co.za/catalog/Details/P4138706545 This prevents the brown outs for me when power goes off, I am using it as a PSU. I have upped the voltage to 5.2V and it still drops ...

latest raspbian

I have just upgraded an SD card to 20-6-14 when i run sudo leafpad it tries to log changes, but does not have access to /root/.local/share/recently-used.xbel , as .local is in the home folder i guess its the sudo that is redirecting to root, the root folder is empty and the previous raspbians did no...

Any chance of adding PPPOE configure, my router requires a login and password, so I cannot install anything until the PPPOE is configured.
