[SOLVED] RPI4 + chromium + heavy youtube use = hang

RPI4 with 4GB has a perfect desktop experience (for me). You can navigate perfectly with lots of tabs, libreoffice, teminals,(even lots of backgound services like homeassistant, zigbee2mqtt, mpd, minidlna, haproxy, squid3, bulk NAS (sshfs for another kodi player) etc.), and it works like a charm. I ...

Re: RaspiPool. A Swimming Pool Automation System

Its absolutely real test: If you see, when I long-tap on ph and orp new measssurement is made. when I long-tap pump and turbo, pump is started (as you can see in sonoff POW R2 sensor added at end of video). All the history are real dates of the swimming-pool. The cool interface is just all Home Assi...

Re: RaspiPool. A Swimming Pool Automation System

Yes, the diagram does look a bit wrong there. Thanks rpdom, I have corrected it and put two DS18B20 in parallel. I have updated all the project with more funtions, reordering gui, bugfixes, offset callibration for ph and ORP sensors, raspberry pi sensors (cpu temp, sdcard disk, last_boot) And more ...

Re: RaspiPool. A Swimming Pool Automation System

If you want to control the pool heater, ds18b20 is not so good idea for the temperature measurement. It's not so reliable solution if you use it with raspberry pi. Please, could you tell me why is not reliable? I am confortable with measuremets, because I have compared it with other thermometers an...

Re: RaspiPool. A Swimming Pool Automation System

Hmm This project smells a bit fishy  Sorry - on a more serious note we have a major problem around here with hardness of water (due to the local source being under a clay layer then chalk beds). This can clog up pipes / joints etc very quickly and some folk have 'all house' softeners. I was j...

RaspiPool. A Swimming Pool Automation System

I am proud to announce the first release of the project @ [segalion/raspipool](https://github.com/segalion/raspipool/) A raspberry pi based system to monitoring, control and automate a DIY system pool The goal of the project is to build a cost-effective, easy-to-install, easy-to-use "Swimming-Pool A...

Re: GIANT UPDATE: Build FFmpeg and mpv – Automatically in 54 Minutes!

While discussing the high-quality work I've done, it's extraordinary that someone would use a disparaging word like "fail" when it doesn't even apply! Sorry about my post. I dont want incomodate you and I apreciate your great work. I have use 'fail' not despectively, only to say why I was asking fo...

Re: GIANT UPDATE: Build FFmpeg and mpv – Automatically in 54 Minutes!

Hello. I was trying your build script, but I have debian lite version (with lot of other stuff...) so build process fails a lot...

Could you (or any) post the .deb binaries somewhere? I am almost sure it works fine in more than 95% of stretch raspbians.

Thanks

A light web browser !!!

As a lot people here, I am very unconfortable with a browser in raspbian (Chromium, Firefox, Kweb, midori, ....). If full-featured (Chome/Firefox) runs easily out-of-memory, if low-memory (midori, kweb pack...) is missed featured, and hangs with modern websites. Accidentally I found a relative light ...
