Re: No signal to monitor

Thanks, Dom, your suggestion to concentrate on headphones first has paid off! I can now hear sound in the LXMusic player using headphones but still not playing ball via HDMI, but progress has been made!!! :D

Re: No signal to monitor

Have you tried: http://elinux.org/R-Pi_Troubleshooting#Sound Pretty sure I have, Dom. Tried so many troubleshooting tips I'm losing track of what I've actually done. Whether I'm...

Re: No signal to monitor

Although I'm using Debian connected to a TV via HDMI, I only get a display if I power on the TV FIRST, wait for it to display 'Check your Cable', then power on the Raspi. This works every time. Re: No, I didnt get one.

Didn"t get one either. What a truly dreadful experience it was. Did anyone get an email from the foundation? I didn"t. Haven"t had emails from RS or Farnells either. Anyway, it"s good to see this site back up and running.

Re: step by step guide?

Thanks again Piglet. Not sure whether to wait for Liam's videos or have a crack at it myself.

Re: step by step guide?

Brilliant! Thanks guys for your help. Will try this method this evening. Am I correct in assuming after the OS in written to the SD card and used to boot the RasPi, any free space left can be used as and when, no need to partition further?

Re: step by step guide?

Could someone do a step by step guide, in the same simple terms as Piglet did for Windows, for MacOS please?

Very good news indeed, Liam. Anything that helps readying those SD cards is very welcome.

Re: Video Tutorials

A big thank you to Liam for your video tutorials. Clear, concise instructions which enabled me to get an LXDE virtual machine installed on my Mac - it was a breeze!!!

Thanks again,

Steve

Re: iPhone HD Lockscreen and Wallpaper

Hi Wesleywarrior,

Nice image, but it's too dark. Maybe if you took the transparency off the Raspberry Pi logo it would help?

Like Judicator, I'm more a lurker than a poster, but I have to say, I haven't been as excited about this project since I purchased a Dragon 32 thirty odd years ago! Kid and sweet shop springs to mind.
