Re: SDL hardware acceleration

I was testing one of my SDL 2.0 projects called UOSC 2 weeks ago and I couldn't get better than 2 fps, the same for SDL 1.x projects like VisualBoyAdvance.

Hmm, no. Minecraft Pi Edition uses LWJGL which uses OpenGL, OpenAL, etc.

Re: PCB Manufacturing/Prototype

I would recommend you to try out OSH Park if you want great quality. The only problem I have with them is the fact that they are in the USA and I'm in Brazil, which means I have to pay those ridiculous international shipping fees from UPS.

Extremely Slow Graphics

I was trying to run a application that I've developed in my Raspberry Pi called UOSC , it uses SDL. As soon as I ran it for the first time I saw that it was impossible to use, it was doing almost 2 FPS, looks like the CPU is handling the graphics instead of the GPU. I tried running VisualBoyAdvance ...

Re: Raspberry Pi doesn't stay powered up for long.

After waiting 4 months to get mine delivered to Brazil I had the exact same problem, even opened a new topic, and wrote a post-mortem for it. Sadly I can't wait another 4 months to get a new one, extremely frustrated.

Re: Raspberry Pi Shuts Down While Booting

Thanks very much for the support and letting me know that I'm not the only one with this problem. I'll look what will be the next thing for me, maybe wait 4 months for another Raspberry Pi or looking for another cool Linux device to hack on.

Re: Raspberry Pi Shuts Down While Booting

The problem is that I haven't waited 4 months because I was in line to get mine. It took 4 months because I had to work with them so the board would pass without getting stuck in the brazilian customs. Also I've finished the board post-mortem if anyone wants to read the story, it's interesting how a...

Re: Raspberry Pi Shuts Down While Booting

I was thinking about returning it, but it isn't worth, it will take another 4 months (minimum). I've placed it inside the case and stored carefully inside my drawer where I store my electronics that stopped working (I take care of my electronics even after they stopped working). I can't even describ...

Re: Raspberry Pi Shuts Down While Booting

I get nothing, it just shuts down. Also I was testing with Debian and Arch and both had the same problem.

After 4 months waiting anxiously for the Raspberry Pi I ordered I'm completely frustrated.

Re: Raspberry Pi Shuts Down While Booting

Some informations I've collected: The Pi always stops working after 43 seconds since it got power The voltage I get when the Pi is turned ON without anything attached is 4.92V The voltage at the time it stopped working is 4.92V The voltage with a Ethernet cable connected is 4.77V Any ideas why this ...

Raspberry Pi Shuts Down While Booting

After 4 months waiting for my (RS) Raspberry Pi to arrive the first thing I did was to power it up and use it. The problem is that every time I try to boot it the Raspberry Pi seems to "shut down" in the exact second that the prompt (and the GPL/GNU copyright) show show. Anyone experiencing similar ...

Re: WebKit Kiosk Browser?

<t>I was thinking about creating a kiosk platform using a Raspberry Pi (just for fun and learn more Coffescript, since I'm doing the painful transition from jQuery to it), but to make my work easier and better it would be good to have a browser like Chromium which has a good support for WebKit. Has ...

<t>I have a Macbook Pro which I use to develop for mobile platforms, such as iOS, Android and Windows Phone, but as soon as I get my Raspberry Pi (Model B of course) I'll start to build a cool setup for it, something like a tablet. I'll design the case, select a good keyboard (because I like the sty...
